This bakes up tall and tasty. Use fresh and powdered garlic to boost the taste and add fresh herbs for added flavor. Listed is for large capacity bread baker.

    Recipe #509224

I'm adding this recipe for the benefit of friends and family because I have this recipe memorized! This is based on Laura Brody's recipe from her book, Bread Machine Baking. This one is customized for the Panasonic/National. I also didn't divide the dough into 2 pieces -- I simply use the entire dough to make a thick-crusted pizza that fits the dimension of my pizza stone.

    Recipe #267552

Based on a recipe from Madge Rosenberg’s book, The Best Bread Machine Cookbook Ever – Ethnic Breads. She says in its introduction, “Because it is so assertive, this chewy bread should be sliced thin to go with salty ham or strong cheese. For a traditional Danish open-faced sandwich (smorrebrod), spread with butter, then top with thinly sliced roast beef and a dollop of prepared horseradish thinned with sour cream. Measurements are for the large 1 ½ pound loaf; measurements for the small (1 pound) loaf are in parentheses.

The recipe asks for black olives but use any kind that you like, it will work fine! Baking time is however long it takes your machine.

    Recipe #272872

Found this recipe in a magazine a long time ago. Have been making them almost weekly ever since! I have made some alternate versions as well. They're easy, most of the time listed is rising time not actual working time. And they never fail to impress! You can also add 1 tsp. chopped garlic (or more!) and use olive oil instead of the butter but they seem to need a little extra flour for easier handling with the olive oil.

Found this recipe on the internet and made it last night for dinner. It is the best bread I have made since I got my bread machine. Crusty, light inside and absolutely delicious!

    Recipe #75061

This is one of my favorites. The recipe came from Eagle Mills. If you don't have buttermilk, you can substitute 1 cup milk plus 1 teaspoon cider vinegar, and let it sit about 10 minutes before using. You can also add 4 tbs. buttermilk powder to the dry ingredients and substitute water for the buttermilk. I have also used plain all-purpose flour with excellent results.

    Recipe #90151

This makes a beautiful aromatic loaf to eat with your fall favorite meals!

Adapted from Gold Medal that makes a one and half pound loaf. It is really good with basil, roasted pepper, and goat cheese for a sandwich.

This is my winner with Tammiev and our friends. This recipe is for a 2 pound loaf and has never failed me. I think it is the lack of oil and sugar that they like in this one.

    Recipe #46501

This is a wonderful Greek style bread. I use red onions but you could use white.

    Recipe #44113

Slices of this bread can make a wonderful turkey sandwich. It is also delicious served warm with a bowl of chili or huevos rancheros! Prep time includes time to scald and cool the milk and honey mixture.

    Recipe #426063

This is from Bread Machine Magic. The best bun we ever had. When barbecuing, I usually divide the dough in half and make 4 burger buns and 6 hot dog buns.

Thought I'd post my tried-n-true recipe. This is just great!!!!
