These are bread and muffin recipes that I have tried and really enjoy. I make all our bread from scratch (well, sort of...I use a bread machine), so several of these recipes I use every week! I also like to freeze muffins and sweet breads - yum!
I found this recipe on another website, and I thought it was so tasty. I especially like the nice addition of the cinnamon and sugar on top! I've made both a loaf and muffins out of this. The time shown is specific for the loaf. I think I baked the muffins for about 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick came out clean.
I am now actually "watching" my diet, and in the process am trying to make my favorites in a "low fat" manner. I took my favorite muffin recipes and combined them, made some adjustments and came up with this great recipe. Hope you enjoy them!
This is a really easy way to make a good "yeasty" pizza dough! As well as using this recipe for when I'm making pizza, I also use it for when I'm making a focaccia or a calzone. (The preparation time I have given includes the time it takes to make the dough in the machine and the time it takes for the pizza dough to proof - after removing it from the bread machine, 30 minutes.)
I got this wonderful bread recipe on the Internet about a year ago, and I have made it exclusively ever since. It makes the best toast ever! I make the dough in my bread machine, then take it out and shape it into a Pyrex loaf pan to rise again and bake in the oven. It turns out perfect every time.
These are what I would desribe as "best ever bagels". They are crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I've had this recipe for years - and was passed on to me by another bagel lover. They are especially nice eaten whilst they are still warm, spread with Philadelphia Cream Cheese, thin slices of smoked salmon, a good squeeze of lemon juice and some freshly ground black pepper! They are also very nice for breakfast, toasted and spread with Philadelphia Cream Cheese, and raspberry jam!
These muffins are delicious and have a great texture, and they are 100% healthy! No refined flour or sweeteners. We have a big family, so this recipe makes a lot of muffins, but it is easily halved for a smaller group. To make the muffins lower in fat, replace half of the oil with unsweetened applesauce. I also use "white whole-wheat" flour, which is softer than that made with red wheat (but has the exact same nutritional value).
We think this is the best white bread recipe ever! It is a tender bread with a slightly sweet taste. My dinner rolls using this dough are so good, everyone always loves them. It doesn't take to long to make them when the bread maker does most of the work. The cook time is listed for the rolls only because everyone's bread makers cooks at different rates. Mine is older and a regular loaf will take 4 hours and 10 minutes. I have found that 15 balls of dough fit perfectly in the 9X13 pan with sides touching after raising the 2nd time but they can be made whatever size you want. I hope you enjoy this great bread as much as we do.
