The original Aussie Matchstick was filled with fresh whipped cream, and though it tasted great, it was very messy and very rich! This recipe is just the basic matchstick, dessert size; but you can make them smaller for kids or as a flash morning tea item. They go very well at kid's parties, try a chocolate pudding and grated chocolate for the filling, or use Nutela instead of jam. Both the filling and the pastry can be prepared 2 days ahead, but dont put them together until your ready to eat them!

My first bowl of Clam Chowder in a quaint little restaurant in San Francisco had me knowing I loved this wonderful chowder. While we have enjoyed a good many recipes since, this one has become not only our favorite but a given for our evening meal on Christmas Eve 'our family tradition in the making' We often add an extra can of clams. The original recipe calls for an optional 1/2 teaspoon Curry Powder which we have yet to give a try. Serving size - a guesstimate!

Over Christmas all the cooks in my family started writing down recipes. This was one of my childhood favourites. Be sure to fill the cakes at least 2 hours before serving so they are nice and soft. You can make them more grownup by omitting the vanilla and jam and mix 1/2 cup of raspberries and 2 tsp liqueur into the cream

I've not seen any recipe like this here. Mom used to make it, and it is divine comfort food; chunks of cheddar and a basic Béchamel sauce, topped with buttery bread crumbs, make for an amazing dish! **Béchamel sauce technique updated, thanks Noo for pointing out the error.**

This is so goood. golden brown crispy pieces of chicken with loads of garlic flavor. The only real work with this recipe is to either cut the chicken yourself into 2 inch pieces or have your butcher do it (my way :)). For this recipie you need to use the biggest frying pan you have, so all the chicken pieces fit in one layer. If you don’t have a big enough frying pan you will need to use two simultaneusly. Serve with fries for a great meal. I found this in Notes from Spain:

I found this recipe in the 2003 Taste of Home Annual Recipe Book. They are easy to make even for a novice like myself.

This is anothe recipe from Australian Women's Weekly - Easy Thai Style Cookery. A beautiful dish with lots of flavours and crunch. We like extra curry and the below curry recipe is doubled from the original. Prep time does not include extra time needed to prepare curry

Creamy coconut combined with a little bite from red pepper flakes and ginger, create a delicious rice dish to accompany a wide range of entrees.

    Recipe #63446

This recipe is quite a favorite at Treebeards' restaurant in Houston. It's posted in response to a request. Cooking time does not include the pre-soak or pre-boil time. To make it South Beach friendly, substitute low fat turkey smoked sausage for the regular smoked sausage, and serve with brown rice.
