This is a friend's recipe for Kahlua - it will make several bottles. The alcohol content works out to about 16% (32 proof). A note - this does need to steep for about a month, so if you're planning on making it, start early.
My friends & I used to make this to drink on hot summer nights - great grown-ups icecream shake! I add the Baileys to taste, 1/2c is just an approximation - depends whether the girls are in a good mood or not!
For Aussies & Kiwis you can substitute the chocolate for 8 regular toffee pops or Tim-Tams.
This is the cat's Meow! I know you are saying there are already a lot of recipes on this site for the same thing, I researched them before posting mine and this one is just a little different so here it is. Everyone I have ever served this to absolutely goes beserk over the taste and says it's as good as the real thing. It's so much cheaper too! I found this on an internet site, but can't remember which one, it was to long and to many fifths ago!! You can easily double the recipe.
This recipe was published in "Back In Thyme - Fond Memories and Home Cookin' in Earlville"... it was compiled of local recipes and published by my boss Andrea and co-worker Amy. This is their friend Susan's version of Bailey's Irish Cream... it's a cinch to whip up and tastes great. Susan has since moved to Arkansas, but her wonderful recipes live on in Illinois (and now the world!). Servings are approximate... depends how much a serving is to you. ;oD
