I needed some pineapple preserves to make Ang1102's Recipe #168803. No problem I thought, I'll just pick some up at my corner store. No luck, They didn't have any so I thought no problem, I'll just get a recipe off of zaar. No luck!, I went on a search and was attracted to this recipe because it only uses 2 ingredients and looked easy. Boy did I get lucky with this one! From Food Down Under. EDIT: Thanks to Diana, I was able to change the title to award winning! Check her review for making these preserves even better!
A delicious rosemary and orange flavored roast chicken that is a big hit with family and friends. Recipe works equally well with chicken pieces. As with the whole chicken baking time will vary as to the size of the chicken, with the pieces needing less baking time. This one will get you oohs and aahs before they have that first bite!
A TOH recipe that I got in an email. Described as light and refreshing dessert that's creamy and pretty with the tart raspberry sauce, no one will ever guess that it's fat-free. I've been trying to eat healthier so this seems to fit the bill. Finally got around to making this for family and it was enjoyed by all. Not terribly sweet but the raspberry sauce really set it off - pretty easy also. If you decide to try it hope you'll like it as much as we did.
This makes a thick, delicious paste that coats the chicken with tons of flavor. I like to make more than one batch at a time, apportioned into quart-sized ziplocs containing enough marinade for two chicken breasts. I freeze my chicken in the same bag with the marinade; the night before I intend to grill, I put the whole bag in the fridge and let it defrost / marinade overnight and all through the next day. I like to serve some fresh, homemade pico de gallo on top.
Note: When I open a new can of chipotles, I always freeze them individually with the adobo sauce split evenly among each "batch." Therefore, I'm not positive about the amount of adobo sauce I add, but the 1 tablespoon listed below is a decent approximation!
Taste of 2008! This is a nice change from regular fries and these definitely will tempt your taste buds. Served along with a nice spicy chipotle mayonnaise it satisfies many cravings! Although these fries are done in the oven if you prefer you can deep fry for a more crispy effect. Enjoy!
"Pogacha" is a hearty white bread claimed by Serbians, Croatians and Macedonians. There are as many recipes for it as there are shapes. This one-rise recipe produces a round loaf. Posted for ZWT 4 Eastern Europe region.
This recipe comes from my longtime friend, Dawn. It's a great cool weather meal, great for football games, prepare it and keep it warm in the crockpot.Start this the morning of when you plan to serve it. I'm sure it can be adapted to cooking in the crockpot, maybe 8-10 hours on low. It smells heavenly while it's simmering! This also freezes well.
New twist to turkey. This makes awesome sandwiches! This recipes works just as well on the gas grill over indirect heat as it does in the oven....AND it will work in a crockpot also! Very versatile and low fat flavorful!
I'm not sure where I got this recipe but it is very good. I usually throw some chicken breasts in a ziploc bag and add this marinade and then freeze. All I have to do for a quick meal is thaw and toss on the grill. This makes enough marinade for about 1-1.5 pounds of chicken breasts. Cooking time reflects marinating time.
Lip-smackin'-good. Crock-pot-easy. Diner-pleaser. Nice presentation. Is there anything better? NAAAAAAAH. Caroline's note: Lots of people don't use Bay Leaf; however, it adds tremendously to this dish; just don't forget to take it out before serving.
