We have given up all other meat loaf recipes for this one. I love the individual servings and every bite has the yummy catsup sauce where in "regular" meat loaf it's just a small strip on top! With the smaller loaves it also makes the cooking time a bit quicker. This recipe came from '99 TOH magazine but I added the rubbed sage for some extra flavor. Enjoy!
This recipe can be prepared on the stove top, or in the oven or crock pot. I decided to post it since it is a bit different than the swiss steak recipes I have seen on here. Just wait until you smell this stuff cooking!
This is a 3-ingredient recipe. Ingredient Note: Recaito is a thicker-than salsa, cilantro-based seasoning that's used to add flavor to rice, beans, soups and stews. The recipe is courtesy womansday.com.
Since so many people have said this is bland:
This is more of a cooking method than a full RECIPE. Season the chicken as desired, use barbecue or soy sauce or what have you. The idea is that you can get "SMOKED CHICKEN" flavor with just your crockpot. If it turns out BLAND, then I guess you should have used some more seasoning.
This is a recipe that I adapted. This recipe was printed in the cookbook that came with my crock pot over 25 years ago. The serving size is approximate. The number of servings depends on if you are serving this as a side or a main dish.
I threw this together one morning before going out for the day. It was super easy because only three ingredients are needed! Not only did the house smell heavenly when we came home, but dinner was ready and it was awesome!
St Patty's Day meal made easy! Serve with Rye bread or my Irish soda bread recipe #50600. And some green beer (beer with green food coloring added.
In the pictures is the corned beef topped with the pineapple glaze #57813.
Amazing flavor, and so simple! No salt needed here. In fact, you may wish to use half the ranch dressing mix to cut back on the saltiness. Found this Crock-Pot pot roast recipe on of a website called www.recipegoldmine.com. It's all the rage there, so I thought I'd try it.
I originally got this recipe from WW. It's become such a staple around our house. I've added a few more veggies to it to make it a more complete meal. It's designed for a smaller crock pot, so if you have a large one, just double the recipe. Chicken can be thawed, partially thawed or even frozen; just adjust the cooking time. Fast, easy and oh so delicious.
