This old family recipe was my absolute favorite as a kid, but I've renamed it in honor of my husband since it's his favorite now! It's different than most of the stroganoff recipes posted because there are no tomatoes in it.
If you are a mushroom lover (like me), and want a robust mushroom flavor, use a full-flavored wild mushroom like morels or porcinis. Other mushrooms (crimini, portobello, shitake, or even button) will work, just make sure you remove the tough stems before chopping. From Cooking Pleasures magazine.
Adapted over the years for my family's taste. Original recipe calls for 8 oz. tomato sauce instead of chili sauce over the top. If you don't like sauce on top of your meatloaf, then leave it off. This is an old recipe, written long before MSG (Accent) was determined to be evil. Use at your own risk.
I know there are a lot of salisbury steak recipes here on 'zaar, but this is my family's favourite, and I'm posting it for safe-keeping. My dog-eared magazine clipping is looking a bit the worse for wear! Tastes even better if made with leftover home-made gravy.
Searching for that "Grandma's house smells so good" pot roast dinner? Got it right here! Have perfected it, and MAN! (Actually worked on this recipe for several years now, don't be fooled by the mustard and horseradish, the flavors mellow as it cooks, and tastes like you literally stepped back in time...so hope you try this, it's wonderful, and a keeper...:)
Tender juicy steaks on the grill are one of life's pleasures. This is the best marinade we have ever come across. It is the perfect blend of flavors and it leaves the meat tender without being overpowering.
Note: I'm not sure of the origins of this recipe, I don't see a duplicate. Will post a picture.
This recipe comes from Rachel Rays 30-Minute Meals 2. It's easy and delicious not to mention elegant and worthy of a dinner party!! I don't always use filet, just whatever steak I have in the freezer that is 1 inch thick. Enjoy!
I combined my sister-in-law's marinade recipe with my friend's barbecue cooking method. I then submitted this recipe into to a radio station as part of a contest and I ended up winning the grand prize of a Jenairre stove! It's so versatile that it works both with cheap cuts of beef and expensive too. I won't cook beef roast any other way. Enjoy!
A very easy recipe for cube steak that takes little prep and almost no supervision. The gravy is great over noodles, mashed potatoes, or even just ladled over baked potatoes. This is a favorite comfort meal for my hubby.
