mmmmmmmmm Comfort food. We love the Blue Moon Burgers at a local diner. But after finding a deep-fried fly in my french fries, I refuse to go back!! We prefer our burger patties with no "fillers," just the beef and the toppings.
This isn't so much of a recipe as it is a method. I had these at my friends house and they were awesome. I personally love peaches on mine, but you can substitute any flavour cream cheese and any type of fruit(canned or fresh)you like!
Fresh strawberries and strawberry cream cheese is delicious!
These are so good. I have to make 2 dozen for my grandmother every Christmas and she refuses to share them. She actually hides them and pulls them out one at a time! I really have no idea how many this makes as I usually double or triple the recipe. Also it depends on how much of the center you like . UPDATE: some people have had difficulty with the filling being to runny....adding more powdered sugar is not going to alter the taste so feel free to add another 1/2 c to a cup with out worry :)
I have to hide these sausages behind something healthy in the refrigerator or my boyfriend Dugan eats them before they are ready. He is such a beast. Warning: Do not store within a monkey wrench throw of car mechanics and all men who drink beer.
Romantic little recipe for two that wont leave you too full to flirt!
Yummy garlic and wine sauce coat the shrimp and pasta. A salad and some crusty fresh bread would be very nice with this and a nice chablis or chardonnay wouldn't hurt either!
I came up with this after totally revamping a recipe found on healthycookingrecipes.com.
"PLEASE adjust the seasonings to make it perfect for you and DO let me know how you change it up."
UPDATE! As listed yes the portion is quite large as you would find in a restaurant. Feel free to reduce the amount of pasta to save calories. We always have leftovers which is fine by me! I remove the shrimp to reheat. Zap pasta in micro for a few minutes then add the shrimp on top for about 20 seconds to remove the chill! Also feel free to experiment! More tomatoes, canned tomatoes (just use organic or add a pinch of sugar) less red pepper, more red pepper. You get the idea. Enjoy!
If you like lemon, you're going to love this cake! Saw this recipe being made by the Barefoot Contessa on FoodTV and just had to have it. Not being overly experienced, I was a bit intimidated by the recipe. However, it is not very hard, looks great and the taste is incredible! Cook time does not include time for the cakes to cool.
These squiggly little sandwiches are almost too cute to eat, but budding entomologists gobble them up with enthusiasm! They look great on small rectangular plates and kids just love them. This is a great recipe for kids of all ages to help prepare. They take about 20 minutes to assemble….and minutes to devour.
I love a great burger... in fact even if I were mega-rich and could eat the priciest food available, burgers would still be gracing my meals more often than anything else I can think of! I've heard of $24 dollar gourmet burgers and such... but you can make this for a whole lot less money and still be in burger heaven... Another fabulous comfort food fix from "Great Food From Mom's Diner".
This is one of our families favorites and it is requested for the family get togethers throughout the year. It is bright, colorful, easy to make and since it uses low fat ingredients guilt free. The recipe was adapted from one served at the Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth Texas.
