This smells so good when it's cooking. Just don't get too far over the spices as you're toasting them or you'll sear your lungs! I've adapted this recipe from one in the October 2006 issue of Cooking Light. Serve with pita bread. Active work time includes 30 minutes marinating time

    Recipe #232719

This is a recipe I adapted from a book called "Thai Cooking and More." Excellent cookbook. I've deleted a couple ingredients, changed some and added others from the original recipe. This dish is more flavourful than hot so don't be afraid of it. Serve it with rice, asparagus or broccoli and a crusty baquette. You can find the ingrediants with the soy sauce in the Asian Specialty section at the grocer. They come in small jars. My favourite hot chili paste is Sombel Oelek - no sugars added.

    Recipe #212775

    yummy rub for chicken

    Recipe #232981

Another great recipe from Thai Cooking and More. If you can't find dried hot red chile peppers, you can use this in substition - little different flavour but very good - substitute 1 can diced green chili's and 1 Tbsp hot chili paste - Sombel Oelek is my favourite Serve over or with rice NOTE - prep time includes 30 minutes of marinating time.

    Recipe #304427

No - it's not a fish recipe but this chicken does swim! This is another flavourful meal from Thai Cooking & More. I've slightly modified it. NOTE- peanut sauce can be made up to 2 days in advance to help save time

    Recipe #304463

Another dish with a slight bite from Thai Cooking & More

    Recipe #304464

Another slightly modified recipe from Thai Cooking & More, our family favourite cookbook which is great served over Chinese noodles. We like this recipe because it's so fast to prepare and cook up as well as tasting great.

    Recipe #304466

The perfect base for Lettuce pork bundles or Moo Shu Pork. Another tasty and easy recipe from Thai Cooking & More Note: if you prefer sweet to spicy then substitute hot chili paste with a chili garlic sauce.

    Recipe #304468

This is a very tasty family favourite that I've slightly modified from the original which came from a great cookbook called Thai Cooking and More. NOTE #1 Just so there's no confusion, this recipe uses a prepared Chinese Black Bean Sauce, NOT your regular black beans. This can be found with the ethnic foods at your local grocer, usually where you find soy sauce, etc. This is also where you'll find the hot chili paste; my preference is Sombel Oelek NOTE #2 Prep time includes 30 minute marinating time.

    Recipe #304493

Another tasty recipe from Thai Cooking & More that I've slightly modified.

    Recipe #304500

Another tasty recipe from Thai Cooking & More and this time for the grill. I've slightly modified the original. NOTE - Prep time does NOT include minimum 4 hours marinating time. NOTE 2 - red curry paste and hot chili paste (Sombel Oelek) can be found with the Oriental foods at your local grocer. This is NOT a sweet chili sauce! And red curry paste is not like the powder!

    Recipe #304502

Another tasty recipe from Thai Cooking & More for the grill which I only slightly modified NOTE - any firm fish can be used for this, such as tuna steak or swordfish steak. Or use a combination of if you have access to them NOTE 2- prep time does NOT include 1 hour marinating time.

    Recipe #304522

Yet another Tasty treat from Thai Cooking & More. These recipes are fast to prepare and cook up even faster - great for wonderful weeknight meals or those busy weekends.

    Recipe #304546

This is a very tasty dish that I adapted from a cookbook called Thai Cooking & More. It's a family favourite and easy to do after a long day at work. We serve it over rice. When using sherry, I always use the real thing from the liquor store - never the stuff you can get at the local market. Keeps forever and is used in a lot of the asian recipes.
