This sauce, while tasty in it's own right, serves as a good base for all tomato based sauces. Try adding a few other ingredients of your choosing to develope you own Utopian delight. Try adding things like L&P, more mustard, molasses, honey, garlic, cumin, chili powder, tomato paste, spices, etc. Whatever you add, you will most likely end up with a tasty sauce, and may even develop several different sauces to suit different moods. Have fun! Tim

There are lots of BBQ Sauce recipes out there, but I love the vinegar based NC sauce. It is very wet, and is great on pulled or chopped pork. We do not like it so much on chicken.

True SE NC BBQ Sauce never contains ketchup or syrups. It is purely vinegar and seasonings. This is the Southern Food version.

The secret is in the sauce. This recipe is posted on another web site and I made some minor adjustments for personal taste. Use this sauce for Recipe #98940.

I have played around with alot of recipes and this is what i came up with. I use it when I BBQ Chicken wings, my family loves it. It does smell like vinegar while cooking but dont let that fool you, it is quite good.
