The delicate skin on your face is one of the first body parts to show signs of aging. It also shows the stress, lack of sleep or illness through: acne, an unhealthy color, ruddiness, puffiness, and dark circles.Yogurt and lemon juice both brighten the skin while honey softens and improves its appearance. Here’s a a quick and healthy beauty tip on how you can restore your natural color:

    Recipe #303110

Apply to the face after cleansing. This toner will soothe the skin and discourages blemishes.

    Recipe #45288

From Natural Beauty At Home by Janice Cox. This is ONLY for men. I can't hold my heart in anticipation and wait for a review for this one;-) I would like to dedicate this to Uncle Bill for his 71st Birthday! Happy Birthday, Uncle Bill:-) Please note: If you are unable to get Jamaican Rum for this, use any other good quality rum.

    Recipe #72514

This is from a book called The Herb Basket. This can be added to bath water, or as a personal perfume, or wet a handkerchief with the lavender water from the fridge to cool off.

    Recipe #265493

This all natural formula includes an ingredient whose sweet scent is prized as both an anti-depressant and an appetite suppressant. The cologne is light and not overpowering at all... plus it has great uplifting properties! I found this on care2 website and have been using it regularly. This would make a great gift for the holidays for that someone special. Cooking time is time for the cologne to age.

Commercial deoderants' active ingredient is aluminum - which has been linkedy to alzheimer's. I haven't had a lot of luck with the natural aluminum free deoderants from the store - they don't seem to work well at all. Here's a recipe to make your own. The only thing you need is an empty container from regular deoderant. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This recipe is from http://www.littlehouseinthesuburbs.com/2009/03/quick-stick-deodorant.html

From BUST magazine. Vegan and free of chemicals like parabens, artificial color/fragance, sodium lauryl sulfate, and aluminum. It is not an antiperspirant so it won't stop you from sweating but it will stop you from smelling like BO, and will soothe sensitive skin. Store-bought deodorants/antiperspirants stain the underarms of my clothes. All-natural types like this one do not. All of the ingredients can be purchased from the health food store. Use any essential oils you like but lavender is a natural choice for its antibacterial properties. Lavender goes well with sweet orange and ylang-ylang.

Chef #248023 inspired me to make this after I made her Recipe #256951. Shea butter is known for its cosmetic properties as a moisturizer and emollient. As well as an anti-inflammatory agent. Shea butter can be effective at treating the following conditions: fading scars, eczema, burns, rashes, acne, severely dry skin, blemishes, dark spots, skin discolorations, chapped lips, stretchmarks, wrinkles and in lessening the irritation of psoriasis. Also provides natural UV sun protection but don't rely on it as a sunscreen because it filters out only little amounts of UV rays. Shea butter absorbs rapidly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. It can be bought on line.

This gel will work well for men or women. It soothes skin after you've finished shaving. It's one of those great, simple recipes that will replace what you buy at the store. It's alcohol free, so it's great for even sensitive skin.

Essential to keep skin wonderful looking and feeling.

    Recipe #93728

Adapted from a recipe from First magazine. According to Jilian Alexander-Gregory, author of The Spa Gardens, when grapefruit oil is massaged into the skin, a compound called D-limonene stimultes the lymphatic system to flush excess fluid and toxins from bodily tissues for effortless slimming. How does that strike ya!?

    Recipe #151013

In ancient times, when clean water was scarce, olive oil was used to cleanse the skin. This is great for those with dry skin. From Janice Cox's book, Natural Beauty at Home.

    Recipe #42017

From the 'Weekend' magazine. Cook time is just the time this cleanser has to remain on your hands before rinsing off with water.

    Recipe #48016

From the Q&A Trouble Shooter column answered by Rima Soni of the Weekend dated Dec 20-26'2002.

    Recipe #49687

A safer alternative for those people who feel that petroleum jelly is a must! This can be cut in half

    Recipe #269495

This is the bath milk formula I created when I was running a toiletry business years ago. This has all the good stuff that is needed for damaged, dry, or sensitive skin. Water is deadly to my skin and strips all the oils off my body, so I have learned that if I want good, healthy skin, I need to replenish with something every time I have a bath. It does make for a messy bath, but it is so worth it

    Recipe #269505

Fresh gingerroot has a sweet, spicy fragrance that is also a mild stimulant. Used in the bath, it helps to promote circulation and is perfect on a cold winter day to warm up

    Recipe #269515

She must have loved these. I know that I do! Use your favorite essential oils. These are so worth the effort. Directions on how to choose the proper molds are included

    Recipe #269565

We go to Hawaii every year for holidays. I absolutely love Hawaii...but it does not like my skin!!! Between the No-Seems that bite my feet and ankles to bits....the pavement and sand drying out my feet....the aligator skin I get after the sun, I needed to come up with some intense skin treatment! The condos we stay at do not have bath tubs and I couldn't do my regular bath regime, so this treatment helped considerably with the itchness and the dryness. I loved this so much, that I use on a regular basis in my bath tub and scent it with my favorite scent oils. Heavenly!

    Recipe #292031

Easy recipe to make up. All the carrier oils and butters can be interchangeable. Detailed information on how to make body butters. This butter can be put any where on the skin that needs nourishment. It is a little heavy to put on the face in the summertime, but I have used it in the wintertime when I need more moisture. Put it on your feet and put plastic bags over your feet and let the lotion be absorbed into your feet. Excellent for lips and hands.
