    This is an easy to prepare fried rice dished passed down by my Japanese mother. You won't find anything like it in the restaurants. Every time we have a family get-together or a covered dish luncheon at work, I am always requested to bring this rice. Being half Japanese, my family would eat this rice as the main part of our meal. Most people would make this as more of a side dish. This recipe makes a lot, so feel free to cut down on the quantities. The beautiful lady in the picture is my mother who I lost to cancer in 2002.

    From a free Penzey's recipe card... Edited 3/24/08 to add that I have now made this recipe for the first time. We really liked it, but found it a bit bland, so I doubled the amounts of vinegar and brown sugar and also added some ketchup to jazz it up a bit. Definitely a keeper, though!

I serve it with salad and garlic bread - yummy!! NOTE: Since some chef's aren't able to find this butter to buy, here is what the ingredients state on the stick of butter. Butter, chives, parsley, garlic, salt, dill, pepper & paprika. They sell it in the Publix grocery store by the stick.

    This is one of our standby chicken recipes that we always seem to come back to because we all enjoy it. I got the recipe from a supermarket flyer once. It has a brothy sauce and the meat is always juicy with Spanish flavors. This goes great with mashed potatoes and a salad.

    Posted for ZWT3. I got this recipe from the A.B.C. I do not like things hot and spicy, but DH loved it. I used chicken breasts in my recipe, and next time I will use mild taco sauce, but If you are like my DH, GO FOR IT !!! Tomato Supreme is made by Edgell.
