Adapted from Cooking Live, this is excellent! You may add more wasabi if you want more kick! This is good with other vegetables, meat, sandwiches and crackers!

This recipe is originally from Williams- Sonoma. The original recipe calls for onion, but when I made it I used shallots. I didnt trust the onion not taking over the delicate flavor of the asparagus.

I've been saving this for a rainy day. I had this at a friends house, begged for the recipe and got it. I have not made it myself yet. Serve with Classic Caesar Salad and warm Garlic Bread Sticks. UPDATE-I cleared up the instructions-give this one a try, it's wonderful!

    Recipe #217293

I got this from an old Reader's Digest cookbook. Haven't made it in years, but I just dug all my books out of the garage after moving, and remembered how great this one is!

    Recipe #103672

A light, fresh and very tasty potato salad, which is more of a meal than a side dish! I made this up when I had a few spears of fresh asparagus left, some boiled potatoes and some honey roast ham in the fridge! This recipe/idea is for two people - but it can be increased with ease, hence my listing of the ingredients in numbers, rather than in ounces or grammes! The dressing can be made ahead......and, hopefully it will be warm enough to sit outside and soak up the spring or early summer sun......c'est Parfait!

    Recipe #226549

This is an easy, tasty way to serve asparagus. The recipe is from Family Circle.

    Recipe #217522

Asparagus is one of my favorite vegetables any way you prepare it but wrapped in prosciutto, drizzled with olive oil and baked with cheese - oh my! This dish makes a beautiful presentation!

    Recipe #219172

I can't wait to try this! From one of my favorite standby cookbooks- Quick Vegetarian Pleasures by Jeanne Lemlin.

I found this recipe on a low-carb website, and it's become a lifesaver. I usually make this up the night before and take it in to work for a great lunch.

    Recipe #62077

Adapted from Heidi Swanson, cookbook author. I haven't tried this yet, but it looks awfully good. Serve atop pasta, on baguettes, or over pizza or potatoes. Makes enough for 8 ounces dried pasta or 12 ounces fresh.

This recipe caught my attention as it was quite different than what I am accustomed to. This is a great way to use some fresh garden vegetables and to add variety to your diet. The recipe is from Planking Secrets by Ron Shewchuk.

    Recipe #176085

Although avocados are high in fat, 3/4 of their fat calories come from monounsaturated fat, which is the type that may help protect against coronary artery disease. They also have 3x as much potassium as a banana. So enjoy with out guilt this healthy recipe from "The Mayo Clinic Williams Sonoma Cookbook."

    Recipe #191794

I threw this together when I was trying to use up some fresh rosemary. The herb really infuses into the asparagus this way. The minty flavor of the rosemary shines here, and is softened a bit if you use the chicken broth instead of the water.

    Recipe #217752

Very simple to make and so flavorful- this is a real treat!

    Recipe #88880

This is a great side dish and a different take on asparagus. It goes well with turkey and chicken.

If you are trying to get more veggies into your diet then try this. It is loaded with broccoli, asparagus, carrots, tomatoes, and mushrooms and loaded with fresh mozzarella cheese. You can use a pre-made pizza shell of make your own. There are many great recipes for pizza crust already posted on Zaar. The cooking time assumes that a pre-made crust is being used.

I love this recipe, it tastes lush and is really quick to make. Sadly my hips don't love this recipe...

This delicious salad is great when fresh strawberries are in season.
