This is the original recipe. I made it more like a cobbler (using no bottom crust at all to save on calories). Also, I used 1 tsp of apple pie spice in place of the cinnamon. It's rustic and homey and legal!!

One of our favorite apples cakes…always welcome!

A lightly sweetened whole grain cake that would be nice for breakfast. It's a healthier alternative to sugar-laden coffee cake!

This is a great recipe when you have just one apple languishing in your fruit bowl and it is past the point where it would taste good eating it as is. This loaf is moist and delicious - a great accompaniment to a cup of coffee or tea.

This is a favourite soup in our home, DH just loves anything spicy and you can make this as spicy or as mild as you like just alter the curry powder. I use a madras curry powder as that's our favourite but you might like to use a milder one. It's very easy to make and quick but it is actually better the next day if you can leave it that long.

This is a recipe my mum used to make for us on winter nights - her mum made it for them so its almost a tradition! - Is wonderful with ice cream or cream and is easy enough for a weeknight family dessert but fancy enough for a dinner party dessert too!

This is a very tasty chutney and so easy too, it works well with just about anything but is perticularly good with cheese and crackers, or sausages. I like to give it as presents around christmas, folk are always pleased to receive some. The recipe can be easily halved or doubled with no change to the flavour it will just take a bit longer or shorter time to make. make sure you chop your apples and onion quite small.

This is a nice moist rich tea loaf, the cranberries give it a wee bit of tartness and the walnuts a bit of crunch. I used Cox pippin apples and I didn’t peel them. I have used syrup and honey and both work well. Also I chopped the walnuts.

I found this on an other site I made a few changes to it as it wasn't quite right and I think this way is better. You can add more sugar if you like but I have just found out I am diabetic so I was trying to keep the sugar down I suppose you could add splenda to them but my apple sauce was made with sweet apples so I didn't need too much sugar.I use a silicone muffin mould and don't use paper cases.
