Mmmmm this is so good! It is a wonderful flaky pastry and tasty meat filling. From a book (1973) given to me by my son he collects vintage cook books, does quite well. This book was not old enough for him, I'm glad because it has some great recipes!! Latin American Cooking, a treasury of recipes from the South American countries, Mexico and the Caribbean. I will be posting more from it as we try them out. (20 minutes chill time not included in cook time) I cut very small wedges (12) and served it as an appetizer.
This is delicious!! I served it on toasted French bread and with crudites. From the local newspaper.
(I have made this now with no fat mayo and no fat sour cream and marinated bottled artichokes, turned out fantastic!!)
Serve this cheese spread with an assortment of crackers and melba toast. Great tasting. Sustitute other cheese E.G. Blue or White cheddar. The number of servings will vary depending on what else you serve.
These pot stickers are 100% better than any you can buy and well worth the extra effort. I like to make them and then freeze them so all you have to do is the final steps just before you serve them. I make them every Christmas to have as a quick appetizer. One review commented that she had trouble with them sticking together when she defrosted them - I have not had this happen however to be sure it doesn't happen to you defrost them separated. I have also fried them directly from the freezer. They only take a few seconds more to cook.
