All the flavors of classic French onion soup, wrapped in a wonton skin. Adapted from a recipe by Kerry Saretsky at Serious Eats. If you can't find Gruyère, substitute Comté, Emmenthaler or even American-made Swiss. You can use any 3 largish onions. You can see a photo example of beggar's purses here: http://tinyurl.com/dyp6ck
This is a variation on the normal Mozzarella Cubes as it is a bit spicier then most you can buy or find recipes for. This makes a great hostess gift or addition to an Antipasto Platter or just to snag straight out of the container.
This recipe was a long time coming. I have been working on it for about 6 months. With the help of Bratty I was finally able to put it down on paper. It is all about the prep, chop before you start. This is not a whip it up in 10 minutes recipe but it makes enough for several meals. The number of egg rolls or eggrolls you get depends on if you add the bean sprouts. My friends and I get together and make them by the hundreds, of course that required more wine! Feel free to leave out any ingredient you do not like, there are no rules with these. Hope y'all like em.
This is loaded with shrimp and crab - gently graced with scallion and a little garlic. Serve with Carrs table water crackers or saltines. I also put out a little bottle of Tabasco for those who like a little kick - they can put a few drops on their own serving. Also very good with raw veggies. Carrot sticks are my favorite dipper for this!
This I made as an appetizer but you sure can make a meal of it! Open faced hot sandwich.
If you can't find old bay there's
DiB's Old Bay Seasoning Recipe #11791 is posted here on zaar I never made it but it looks good. Or you can try mine not old bay but real good.Cajun Spice Rub Mix Recipe Recipe #92066
This is an elegant appetizer best served with French baguettes or good quality crackers. I also think it would be a great dessert if served with additional apple slices. From the recipe pamphlet in my Chambord box.
If I get asked for this recipe one more time, I will scream - just kidding! This is a great do-ahead appetizer. A good recipe to have for your summer garden abundance (and parties!). Only 145 days til July!
"Papa John's keeps their menu simple. You won't find salads or subs or chicken wings on this menu. The company just sells pizza, with side orders of breadsticks and cheesesticks made from the same pizza dough recipe. With each order of breadsticks or cheesesticks comes your choice of dipping sauces. These recipes will show you how to make all three of those tasty sauces. You can use these as dips for a variety of products, or you can simply make your own breadsticks by baking your favorite pizza dough, then slicing it into sticks. If you want cheesesticks, just brush some of the Garlic Sauce on the dough, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake. Slice the baked dough into sticks and use the dipping sauce of your choice."
