From Mark Bittman in The New York Times. "This recreation of a Cambodian dish may not be entirely authentic, but it is really good, a striking balance of mildly sweet and mouth-puckeringly sour. And if you start with peeled shrimp, it is also ridiculously fast. Let the lime-and-sugar mixture cook until it is syrupy; this won't take long, about three minutes, but it will guarantee that the liquid coats the shrimp nicely."

I've been making these forever!! The list of ingredients seem so simple, but the flavor is amazing. You don't know what you're missing if you haven't made these. They were given to me by a friend and I make them often for home and I bring them to potlucks. They're my kids favorite dish.

A new and exciting way to get your loved ones to eat radishes. Even the pickiest eaters will enjoy radishes prepared this way. I know, I was one and I have been converted. Braising tenderizes and mellows the peppery taste of the radish.

This is from one of my favorite cooking shows 'Best Recipes Ever'

Ooh la la, these mushrooms will excite your tastebuds in every mouth watering bite. So many flavors, balanced to perfection inside a juicy white button mushroom. Great for brunch, an appetizers served as an entree tossed with pasta.

Taken from 5 Ingredient Fix...these things are soooo good. They have such a nice warm flavor. Good for Thanksgiving...fall or winter snacking.

These are crispy fried potato cakes with a tuna and light vegetable filling that is just delicious. DH liked them with the tuna added though it is not traditional. If you prefer you can leave the tuna out for the original vegetarian version. I serve them with a corn free ketchup and plain yogurt to dip them in, sour cream would be good too. The original recipe is from the Iraqi section of The Complete Middle East Cookbook by Tess Mallos.

This recipe is from Rachael Ray. Something I'm curious to try.

A delicious and extremely quick-to-make recipe which I was delighted to find in the October-November 2008 issue of 'dish'. As I don't like hot and spicy flavours, I made these with a mild paprika. Those who do like foods hot and spicy might want to add cayenne pepper. Please, do adjust the spices to meet your taste preferences. As almonds boost energy levels particularly at those times such as early afternoon when - given the choice - many of us may choose to have a siesta, I intend to have these on hand in a container at all times at work as a quick energy-boosting snack. I've found that even half a dozen almonds can provide the boost needed at such times, and these will offer a more flavoursome alternative to plain almonds.

This was in an advertisement for Bob Evans Sausage in a magazine. Looked delicious.

I found this recipe on a can of evaporated milk many years ago, and I make up many batches each year to take to parties and give as gifts at Christmas. These are wonderful.

This is a fun and easy take on "Fish & Chips" that is so yummy!! My husband and I went to an open house and they served something similar so I went home and whipped up my own creation which I actually think tasted better! I usually use full fat mayo and cream cheese, but you can certainly substitute low fat. I served it cold, but it could also be warmed and be equally as good...enjoy!

Found this recipe in "The Metro St. Louis Guide to Smart Parenting" as a kid-friendly healthy recipe. Very simple and very tasty! The sauce rEALLY makes the recipe! The soy and panko give a nice twist to the familiar boring tuna cakes of yesteryear. Can be used as a main dish or as an appetizer. NOTE: Due to the concensus of reviewers, I have decreased the original 1/4 cup soy sauce to 1.5 tablespoons.

Easy, tasty crackers. Great with hummus or other dips.

    Recipe #282720

This is my friend Heather's recipe, I have changed it slightly as the variations are endless. I hope you will enjoy these, as much as we do. These can be made ahead, covered and refrigerate for several hours or overnight and baked when needed.

    Recipe #281530

I'm posting this recipe for the Chinese/Vietnamese New Year Tag Game—February 2008. It from the Joy of Wokking by Martin Yan. This is NOT for dieters.

These festive pinwheel appetizers are perfect for the holidays, or anytime! Very popular with my family and guests---everyone really loves the great flavor combo of tangy chèvre cheese (or feta), sweet-tart cranberries, green onions, walnuts (or pistachios), and herbs. Easily made in advance, and I have frozen the logs (before slicing) with great results. Note: If you can't find chevre cheese, crumbled feta is equally good. A slight modification of recipe 146700-- thanks Wildflour!

This appetizer can be used any time of year, but the parsley makes it especially attractive at Christmas.
