This is a recipe I made up after sampling this at an Italian restaurant in Niceville, Florida. We have played with it for nearly 15 years, and this one is the one we keep coming back to. I get requests to bring this to all parties and it packs nicely for a picnic, too.
This delicious dip is great served with frito scoops. It has great flavor and a wonderful crunch. You have to try this, it will be the next hit at all parties. I use Claussen pickles, FYI! We love this new and different recipe!
I had this at a good friend's Christmas party a few years ago. This is a surprisingly festive and yummy dip with a couple of unexpected ingredients.
*Best to use gloves when handling a pepper or wash hands immediately after handling.
This isn't a salsa in the traditional sense. It's a more of a refreshing dip! I use my food processor to dice all the vegetables so it isn't as chunky. The result is a fabulous, cool, creamy treat perfect for those summer barbecues!
I got this Buffalo chicken dip recipe from a respiratory therapist at the hospital where I work. He brought it to a party and everyone asked for the recipe. I appreciate all the reviews that have been written about this recipe since I posted it so long ago. I see more and more that people are making it with freshly cooked chicken - great idea. I also like the idea of using rotisserie chicken. The original recipe used canned chicken for convenience, but I agree with all of you that the fresher meat tastes better. Barb
P.S. Thank you to everyone who has reviewed this recipe. I love it, too, and it makes me feel so good that so many of you have enjoyed it. Thanks again.
