    Good Eats Baked Buffalo Wings

    I love buffalo wings, but not all the deep frying that is involved. I was watching "Good Eats" one day and Alton Brown's fool proof method to delicious buffalo wings was discovered! I did make a few adjustments to this recipe that helped me out... but stayed true to the original for the most part. This method may be a little time consuming, but the end result of crispy, fall of the bone, tender wings is well worth it. The cook time includes the 1 hour in which the wings rest/cool in the refrigerator before baking.

    I was looking to find a recipe that was not overpoweringly spicy, somewhat healthy and less messy than wings doused in sauce. This is what I came up with. Once cooked, the wings can be put in a crock pot and they get more tender and flavorful the longer they are in there, but they start to fall off the bone and are messier.

    I got this from a Maggi recipe card and tried it out (I omitted the honey because I don't usually like my chicken sweet). Personally, I thought it wasn't THAT tasty but everyone else seemed to like it - it was all gone. Hmmm! What do you think? Try it out and let me know... The recipe naturally calls for Maggi brand sauces for the marinade but you can sub with whatever you have on hand =)

    I found this recipe in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, as part of their special section of Super Bowl party recipes. It is originally from "Great Party Dips," by Peggy Fallon (Wiley, $16.95). It is an absolutely superb blend of shrimp, bacon, and cream cheese, with a bit of a kick provided by horseradish, cayenne, green onions, and parmesan cheese. Serve with crackers or pita chips. Great stuff.

This is the dip I get asked to make for every occasion. The secret is you have to use Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. I have given the recipe to people and they think I changed something because they used a different sauce This may seem a little rich to some..it even does to me depending on my mood.

    These are a bit time consuming to make, but so very worth the effort. The filling is very easy to make and very falvorful. it's the folding the dumplings that takes the most time. These are wonderful with thew sauce but equaly good without and served as wonton.

    This couldn't be easier. It looks like a thin casserole. My friend Jenn brought this to a dinner party and I thought that she'd spent way more time and money. I was shocked to find out how easy this is. I use the chili with beans. But, I'm sure that you could use whatever you like. This is so yummy on tortilla chips and is a great break from the average chips and queso. It also makes a great filling inside flour tortillas.

    If you are taking this to a get together you can assemble it ahead of time in a disposible foil pan. The success of the dip will depend on the quality of your chili, so purchase a good-quality chili, or use your own homemade chili, make certain that it has a lot of beans in it though! Have fun with this recipe, layer other ingredients in the middle if desired, the possibilities are endless with this dip! This is SOOOOO good and easy too! I like to spread a small layer of sour cream over the hot cheese, then the jalapenos and olives on top but the sour cream is only optional. DO NOT double the recipe in one pan, prepare two separate recipes in two pans.

    This is so addicting! I got it from a book called Half Baked Gourmet - Party Food. I will have a party just to make this dip. Even my non-cooking sister asked for the recipe and makes it with her friends all the time. The jalapeno sauce is usually with the Tabasco at the grocery store.

    These are so easy to pop in the microwave and have a basket full for appetizers, TV snacks, or card clubs. The amounts are estimates depending on the size and number of commercial breadsticks you have available. Wrap bacon barber-pole style around the breadsticks. Cleanup is easy, because all the drippings will be absorbed into the paper towels. Serve at room temperature. Make plenty -- they are highly addictive!
