One day we had lunch in a little restaurant in the warehouse district of New Orleans. The restaurant did not survive Katrina but our memories did. The chef gave me his recipe for this divine puree which graced our table along with some toasted pita breads instead of the typical French bread and butter. I serve it all the time with crudités and chips. Great! *Cooking time does not reflect 4 hours pre-soaking.

These sushi poppers are tasty and do not require an expert to prepare. Young children would find these fun to make.

I think I got this from an old Gourmet magazine. It is an elegant pass around appetizer and appeals to anyone that likes blue cheese.

    Recipe #258667

This is a simple delicious appetizer. I have never made it with red horseradish, but I suppose it would be "pretty" delicious too. Another hard-to-determine serving recipe.

We've had this in the finer Italian restaurants here in Michigan and it's a must have when eating Italian recipes. If you are a garlic lover, you will love this and adjust the garlic to your preference. My hubby & I usually share a plate of this and I'll have 5-6 pressed cloves of garlic on my side alone!

    Recipe #60956

These are really easy appetizers that you can make a few days in advance, and bake them the day they are needed. I am not a fan of onions, but these are delicious.

I made these as an Appetizers but you can leave them whole as a wrap for lunch. They are filled with a couple of different things as you can see in the uploaded pictures giving you a variety of appetizers. Now this is a recipe that you can play with. Try leftover roast beef or turkey breast, sprouts, shredded carrot, cucumber slices.... You can use any spreads of choice like garlic herbed butter, Mustard...Then watch everyone try one then go for on other trying to figure out what's inside each one. These are great for a picnic or to take to school or work just wrap the rolled wrap whole in plastic wrap.

Okay, don't let the title scare you. THESE ARE GREAT appetizers even though the ingredients are a little strange. I make them all the time for almost any occasion which we need an interesting "snack". Kids really like them because of the pickles. Make sure that when you are rolling them up, that you roll tightly before inserting toothpick.

This makes a wonderful appetizer! The brie cheese mixed with the cream cheese is delightful! Prep time does not include refrigeration time. With the white cheese and red salsa, this would be great for Valentine's Day or Christmas!

This corn dip has been a really big hit for me. Its easy to make and everyone will ask you for the recipe when you take it to parties or have one of you own. I can't ever escape a party without someone stopping me and asking how to make that "awesome" corn dish. Great for a Picnic too!!

These bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers are UNBELIEVABLY good! You'll love them!

    Recipe #105670

I got this recipe off of a pepperhead forum, and man, is it killer! I use the Cherry Bomb strain cherry peppers(extra hot), from my garden, but you can use whatever peppers you have on hand. Jalapenos, Habaneros, Anaheim, Poblano, etc. A great way to use up all the extra peppers from the garden! Easy to make, great for the Superbowl, any football Sunday, or any other party occasion.

Like "Pigs in a Blanket", this has an Asian twist. Serve with potatoe salad or coleslaw or just chips. You can make this vegetarian by using soy hot dogs.

My grandmother made these in the '60s whenever she entertained; imagine my surprise when I found this in a cookbook as an actual recipe! This brought back a ton of memories -- one of them that these were delicious!

My cousin gave me this recipe years ago, it's a great appetizer for get together's and party's. My kids love it and so do my guests. Can be prepared a couple of days ahead of time.

I duplicated this recipe from one my family loves at T-Bones Steakhouse in Charleston, SC. I have no idea why they are called Tommy Fries. They are served at the steakhouse as an appetizer.

An appetizer, a salad or a light lunch? You decide... Artificial crab (surimi) is very well suited to this recipe, because of it's texture and color. A martini glass really shows off the variety of colors in this almost crab salad. Cheers!
