A friend shared this with us at a party a year or two ago, and we really enjoyed it. The tomatoes don't get baked too much, remaining fresh, and it has a nice creamy yet crispy texture that is really satisfying.
DH and I just saw this on a re-run of Paula Deen the other day! It sounded so good! I had some leftover baked potatoes so we turned them into these! We only used cheese and the sour cream mixture on ours but cover with your favorite fixins! It is really the grilling that makes them sooooo good! Serving size depends on if they are your meal or a side or an appetizer!
Who doesn't like crescent rolls and cream cheese? This is a simple recipe that pairs both together! You can add nuts, jams, or anything you like! These can be altered to your own personal taste....but that will still just melt in your mouth! Let me know how you altered and what the results were!
This is a variation of Sausage Stars/Sausage Cup recipes that use wanton wrappers and ranch dressing. My version uses Tostitos Scoops (bowl shaped corn chips) and cream cheese for some of the ranch dressing. I made these for Christmas Eve and Super Bowl Sunday, and they were a huge hit on both occasions! You can make the filling in advance and refrigerate until you are ready to assemble and bake. If I am taking these to a party, I fill the shells before I leave home and bake when I arrive at the party. They are also great with regular ranch dressing, but we prefer parmesan peppercorn flavor.
These are easy to make you can do the wonton wraps the day or so ahead and have the sausage mixture made in advance then just 5 minutes before serving you fill the wraps and pop them in the oven. For a lighter exterior I prefer to use Spring Roll wraps. Use your regular pork breakfast sausage. if you wish use Italian sausage or bratwurst
This recipe is from the Ortega web site, I have made this many times in the past for get-togethers and BBQ' and everyone loves this dip! If you are a garlic lover like myself then add in some fresh minced garlic to the sour cream, but it is just as great without the garlic --- this dip can be prepared in advance and refigerated until ready to serve --- my recipe#76616 works well for this recipe!
This recipe is inspired by appleydapply Bacon and Onion Nachos. We had unexpected company come by and I wanted to make lunch for them. This is the result I got. It's hot and spicy but you can decrease the amount of jalapeno peppers. If you do not like crisp vegetables, microwave them to the desired consistency you like. We like crisp.
Love potato skins but don't need all the fat and calories that go along with them? This version from EatingWell Magazine reduces the fat but keeps the great taste and you still receive all that great potassium.
These are delicious as appetizers or include them on your beef or chicken kabobs. The smokiness of the bacon and the smokiness of your grill's charcoal is a wonderful combination. The cheese chills out the heat of the jalapeños leaving them just slightly hot. Dip them in Ranch dressing to chill the heat even more. Cream cheese is a perfect substitute for neufchatel cheese.
