A wonderful real lemon ice cream, reminds me of lemon sherbet but creamier. Easy to make and refreshing on hot days. Make sure you squeeze fresh lemons for this one. Bottled lemon juice just doesn't measure up in this recipe. This is a combination of two recipes given to me by my Aunt. It's good topped with a few fresh raspberries. For those who love lime, just substitue fresh lime juice in place of the lemon.Cook time is freezing time.
Great little loaves to have handy in the freezer for when unexpected, or expected company arrives. This is from the Company's Coming - Cooking for Two cookbook. It's moist, tasty, and very easy to prepare. They say it makes one small 7 x 7 cake, but I baked it in two mini loaf pans for 40 - 45 minutes. Freezes well too. I also tried substituting 1 for 1, whole wheat flour for the all purpose. Not a good idea ;)
Absolutely amazing, this recipe was passed on to me by a dear friend many years ago. Good any time, it has been a tradition to serve it on our holiday dessert table.
Very quick and easy to make, this is one the kids will gladly help with!
As a fancy dessert. This is a recipe I came up with when I had to use what was in the pantry. It turned out well enough to pass on to the Zaar family. I made half a recipe of Recipe #214538 for this. Time does not include making the gingerbread cake.
These are the most delicious bars I have ever tasted!!! How many times have I been asked for the recipe? Too many to count! They almost taste like a scrumptious chocolate bar. TRY THESE...YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! I will have to post a pic the next time I make them.Compliments of Taste of HOme
My uncle loved to make sweets, and he made this fudge recipe that is one of the creamiest, sweetest, nuttiest "OUT OF THIS WORLD fudges I have ever tasted! I have never seen a recipe like this, and you probably haven't either... You simply have to try it to see what I mean :) I used to make special trips over to have a piece when I knew he was making it LOL
My gram considered this to be her "BEST" yellow cake...It was WONDERFUL! Try it, you'll LOVE it! My gram used chocolate frosting lots of times, and then sprinkled chopped walnuts all over the top. Sometimes she would use Recipe #218589 instead... YUM! Keep in mind this is a "homemade" cake not a "box" cake. It has a heavy, moist texture a lot like Wacky Cake. Note: Don't over bake. Check cake at 30 mins. and every 5 mins. after, until a toothpick stuck in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
An extra easy no-bake dessert for any occasion. My friend gave me this recipe that she has been using for years. Whenever there's a party, she whips up one or two of these and guarantees no leftovers. I made it and FELL IN LOVE so I thought I'd share it with my recipezaar friends. Perfect for the upcoming summer months as its no bake (no heat from your oven). Enjoy!
