With Fall aproaching and the leaves already begining to turn gold and droping what could be better than this outstanding (and easy) dish of pork loin, apples, cinnamon and pecans! Good enough for company but simple enough for everyday family.
I really enjoy making bread in the colder months. This loaf is one that I have played with a lot and it works no matter what I do to it. I have added nuts, vanilla, cinnamon/ginger, changed the apples to dried cherries( non sugared). I have used applebutter in place of applesauce and trimmed down the honey. Well, you get the idea. 8" cake pans are the perfect thing for baking this bread. It will make 3 loaves.
Roasting develops the buttery richness of Fuji apples topped with chopped pecans. A honey-and-cider vinegar dressing provides just the right amount of sweetness. Serve the fruit over a pretty mix of oak leaf and butter lettuces.
The orange-flavored liqueur, spicy Italian sausage, apples, and pecans make this dressing distinctive from all others. It is very easy to prepare and goes with any dish. This recipe makes enough to stuff one 18 to 20 pound bird. If you prefer, this dressing can be made with thyme instead of sage. Time is for making the stuffing only, it doesn't include the the time in the bird or oven baking as that varies so much.
