This is a favorite family meal I serve often during the chilly winter months. Warm, comforting, and fairly easy to fix. Purists beware -while this may remind some of vaguely of a Hungarian Paprikash dish, this is NOT at all claiming to be a traditional recipe - just a comforting chicken dish in a creamy, red sauce that I like to serve over steamed dumplings. You may also serve this over buttered egg noodles, if you choose. If you use fresh mushrooms in this, I recommend peeling off their outer skin first so they do not release so much water.

A big game hunting buddy of my husband's dreamed up this round steak dish. He puts it on before they go out hunting and it's ready when they come in for supper at night. It's very easy to prepare and can cook happily along in a crock as well as the conventional oven. It's a great dish for people who work all day. It's done when you get home-just slice some Italian or French bread, throw a green salad together and sit down and enjoy.

For large gatherings, I think this salad would go over great! This is one of the best tasting macaroni salads I have ever had! I know there are a lot of ingredients, but don't skimp. The flavor sensation is absolutely incredible!! I saw this on Food Network's 'Calling All Cooks', and got the recipe from the website. This recipe serves about 25 people. NOTE: The ORIGINAL recipe calls for 1-2 Tbsps. garlic salt, and that's the way I entered the recipe. If you are salt sensitive, I suggest you use less. You can always add more.

You can reduce the amount of shrimp to 1/2 a pound, but I LOVE shrimp!

This easy dish recipe is from the Colorado Cache Cookbook put out by the Junior League of Denver. It's one of those "Throw Together and Let It Cook Itself" recipes that most cooks enjoy fixing.

I adore fresh salmon. The cream cheese topping, keeps the salmon moist. As it melts, the flavors of the herbs and vegetables encases the fish steaks.

For when you are sick of eating off the ear but just can't get enough corn. It is impossible to go back to canned as a side after you have this.

I have no clue as to why this is "Wedding Chicken", but you will love it. The prep time is the marinate time.

This dish is full of flavor, one of my favorites.

The dry soup mix and mushroom soup produce a great tasting gravy, use only a small of salt as the dry onion soup mix already has plenty of salt or you may omit it completely and just season the roast with black pepper and garlic powder --- cooking time will depend on the size of your roast.

My brother fixed this dish for me with some fried rice and it was so good that I had to ask for the recipe. Adjust the heat by upping or reducing the chili in it. I like it spicy.

My Mom used to make this all the time in the oven. However I have changed it to lower the fat content and tried it in my crock pot. It worked out wonderful and I wanted to share.

This is a great quick and easy dinner to prepare, and it's very tasty. It is adapted from a recipe in Fix-It and Forget-It Slow Cooker Cookbook.

Not sure what the Korean name is, we always called it Sukiyaki, but I don't think that's it. Maybe mom made her own variation of another dish, as I've never had this elsewhere.

A nice quick entree after a hectic day at work. From Bon Appetit magazine. I saute the chicken longer than the time specified to make sure it's cooked through, or pound the breasts thinner.

Juicy chicken with a great creamy alfredo sauce. Very easy to make!

Amazing flavor, and so simple! No salt needed here. In fact, you may wish to use half the ranch dressing mix to cut back on the saltiness. Found this Crock-Pot pot roast recipe on of a website called www.recipegoldmine.com. It's all the rage there, so I thought I'd try it.
