Adopted recipes - Julesong's new recipe babies

These are recipes that I adopted that needed a new home. I'll be working my way through them, editing and making changes to make the directions and ingredients clearer and more accurate. I'm glad I was able to find a new home for these orphans!

A lot of Americans never learn the joys of pickled herring, which is sad. :) We love Scandinavian foods in our home! This is one of my adopted recipes. Prep time includes chilling.

    Recipe #7377

I love soup, and this borscht is slightly different from others I've seen. This is one of my adopted recipes. It looks like a dish my family and I would enjoy, so I hope to make it and edit it in the future.

    Recipe #7385

This is one of my adopted recipes. I love plaintains! It looks like a dish my family and I would enjoy, so I hope to make it and edit it in the future.

    Recipe #7451

Guacamole is, without a doubt, my favorite of dips. :) Note: this recipe is not yet ready for consumption, due to editing difficulties - it will be fixed as soon as possible.

    Recipe #8001

    A refreshing cool salad!

    Recipe #10777

This recipe was developed by the creator while trying to find a chili that her kids would eat. All her family loves it! It is both thick and just a little bit sweet tasting, but not too much.

    Recipe #15603

This recipe is an adopted one and needs editing. Until then, please do not rate it, thanks.

    Recipe #7719

A simple and tasty casserole with items usually found in the pantry.

    Recipe #6611

    A different sort of satay!

A bit like baba ghannouj, this eggplant dip is flavourful and tasty!

    Recipe #8055

The Fort, an award-winning restaurant located in Southwest Denver, is one of the nation's most recognized establishments and sells more buffalo steaks than any other restaurant in the country. Featuring fine beef, buffalo, game and seafood, The Fort's menu offers a tantalizing selection of old and new foods from the Great West. I first heard about Sam Arnold's Fort Restaurant in Morrison, Colorado, on a television show. Then someone in an online forum asked for their recipe for Jalapenos Stuffed with Peanut Butter (a recipe I'll post soon), and I was off on the search for more info about The Fort! :)

    Recipe #7357

Tofu is a wonderfully versatile food! I make tofu "egg salad" fairly often, and it's delicious. So scrambled tofu on toast makes perfect sense to me. :)

    Recipe #293

A traditional dish of the hills around Lucca. It calls for cracked farro, which cooks faster. I first heard of farro from Giada De Laurentiis, who made a salad from it (a recipe which I've posted). Farro is similar to wheat berries.

    Recipe #3543

A different and delicious combination of flavors for a soup! If parsnips are not available in your area, you can substitute carrots (although it will not taste exactly the same).

    Recipe #4935

A surprisingly easy and delicious recipe for an appetizer.

    Recipe #6523
