I had no idea this dish even had a name until I grew up. We had it any time we had fried chicken, which was often. I love this dish - to me it is comfort food.

I can't believe something this simple can taste this good. This was actually my very first time making fish, and it turned out absolutely fabulous! This is another recipe from my favorite cookbook, Eating for IBS by Heather Van Vorous. I actually didn't have any rosemary, so I made it with basil and oregano. Try it with your favorite fresh or dried herbs!

I tried this last Christmas and it was a real hit. The men in particular really raved about it - maybe it was the beer?

Please don't ask me what this means. I tried to look it up without success. My mother moved to a retirement home this summer and this was in her bag of recipes. Looks like a good breakfast dish for a crowd.

This recipe is sweet and tangy. You just can't get enough off it, both kids and adults go wild. It was given to me by a South African friend. Add enough turmeric to give a soft yellow colour.

These green beans will put a pucker on your face! They definitely have a whang to them. My uncle Don is a very VERY picky eater and he ate half the pan, so they must be pretty good. You can also adjust the heat to these babies and if you happen to catch canned vegetables on sale (if you're not into canning your own), it's a great way to serve an alternative to plain ole green beans or that mushroom casserole everyone makes at the holidays.

All ingredients amounts may be adjusted to taste --- you may substitute the bottled Hidden Valley Ranch dressing for the package, I prefer the package --- I have even made these using Caesar salad dressing from my recipe#116849 instead of the Ranch :)

This is a very simply recipe that requires very little effort. I found it in Better Homes and Gardens.

I find most 100% whole wheat buns are very dense, and let's be frank, taste like the floor of a barn. This recipe is an adaptation of my "Mom's Air Buns" #168628, and makes delicious, soft, healthy, and easy to make rolls. I think the unusual addition of vinegar is what makes the difference. Edited to include links to recipe#419620, and recipe#419622 for those of you who wish to make whole wheat loaves instead of buns...same great taste and texture! For those unfamiliar with how to shape rolls, you may find it helpful to look at the following links for instructions: http://www.recipetips.com/kitchen-tips/t--1121/shaping-rolls.asp http://www.finecooking.com/articles/shaping-dinner-rolls.aspx

In my quest to lose weight and keep it off, I've been eating a lot of salad. I usually eat it twice a day which means I have to vary my salad dressing to keep from getting bored. I found this recipe on www.mizfrogspad.com and have altered it slightly to fit my taste. This recipe will fit into the WW Core Plan or counts as "0" points on the Flex Plan. Makes about 1 cup = serving size equals 2 tablespoons.

I came up with this variation of this limoncello which is lusciously creamy with the essence of vanilla and lavender. After making Kim's Recipe #296066. This is to be sipped icy cold on a hot summers day with your eye closed. Relax Ahhhhh! Making it a comforting excellent aperitif. Served chilled from the freezer in a frosted liqueur glass. Keep refrigerated with in 1 month of freezer 6 months. Try to use 100-proof vodka, which has less flavor than a lower proof one. Also the high alcohol level will ensure that the limoncello will not turn to ice in the freezer.

May wine, of German origin, is Maibowle (May-bowl) made with Rhine wine or other light, dry, white wines, Sweet woodruff is thought of as a tonic, with significant diuretic and anti-inflammatory effects. Its coumarin and flavonoid constituents make sweet woodruff helpful for varicose veins. Sweet woodruff has been used as an antispasmodic, and it is given to children and adults for insomnia. Known as an aromatic ingredient in May wine, making sweet woodruff an ingredient in this punch. Modern herbalists recommend sweet woodruff as a laxative and as an antiarthritic. Sweet woodruff is mainly grown today as a ground cover liking shady areas. This has an extra touch from Lavender. May Wine Topic http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?p=4543721
