I found this recipe on All-Recipes on the Internet. It is very good, very different. If you don't like the olives or the vinegar, skip this one. It won't be right without it. My whole family (even the kids) LOVED it!!
I got this recipe from a close friend of mine...THANK YOU! Great to prepare ahead for those nights when you know you are going to have boys scouts, sports or some other activity to minimize your dinner time!
A different blend of seasonings make a wonderfully easy dinner to come home to. I made this with ingredients I had in my fridge and since it turned out so well and my family enjoyed it I decided to post.
Don't be put off by the ingredients, and use exactly what it calls for. The flavor of this is amazing! For those of you that like dark meat, this recipe is really tailor made for it. I like it best when using only thighs and legs.
Tender, fall-off-the-bone chicken! Skip the overnight refrigeration if you are in a hurry. For variety, eliminate the onion and substitute a quartered lemon or two, stuffed into the chicken cavity. Chef Shapeweaver had a good suggestion: Use Fajita Seasoning Mix #28011 as another variation. Thanks! The standard size slow cookers are a bit too small and a whole chicken won't fit. You'll need a 6-quart slow cooker for this recipe.
From Linda Larsen,
Your Guide to Busy Cooks @ about.com. This sounds sooo good! You can substitute different types of cheese and different flavors of condensed soup to change the flavor of this easy slow cooker recipe.
4 ingredients, a couple spices, and *poof*...8 hours in a crock pot and dinner is ready! We served ours over rice...delicious!
You can probably use whatever kind of 'cream of --- soup' you have, these are just the ones that I used.
