I don't own a pressure cooker, but this recipe tempts me to get one. From "Pressure Cooking for Every Occasion" by Fagor America (2005) and published in my local paper. A 6 qt capacity cooker is required. The cooking time is for the cake served warm - it wll take longer to cool and chill, as is more customary with cheesecake.

I thought it was time to revisit on old-fashioned cooking method: Pan Frying. Is it time to bring it back? Go into any of the wonderful family-style restaurants in the South and order a pan-fried pork chop, and you are served a thing of beauty. For some reason, this no-fuss, easy method has fallen out of favor with home cooks (maybe because most recipes are so vague..."Season pork chop, cook in frying oil until done".) Follow my instructions and you will yield a beautifully browned, moist chop...serve with Macaroni & Cheese and some greens, and you will have a fast, old-fashioned weeknight supper.:)

From Hueys Kitchen. I saw him make this today and thought it to be a simple and refreshing salad. Allow 1 minute for cooking, massaging the salad.

    Recipe #463416

I was told this was My dad's Grandma's recipe for a sweet, moist cornbread likely to become your favorite!!

From Top Secret Recipes www.topsecretrecipes.com. "This recipe is practically identical to the one Kraft uses for their Shake'n Bake bread coating. The only difference you'll find is that the real Shake'n Bake contains beet powder - a hard to find ingredient that gives the mix a dark orange tint. It doesn't do much for the flavor however, so it's been left out of the recipe. Try it and you'll swear it's the same thing."

From Epicurious...Sofrito, a sautéed vegetable mixture that typically contains garlic, onion, and bell pepper, is used as a seasoning in much of Latin America and the Caribbean. Here, it flavors yellow rice. The color comes from annatto seeds—which have an astringent, slightly peppery flavor—heated in oil until bright red-orange.

I saw this in the Food section of the Cincinnati Enquirer October 30 2002 Pg E3. By Chef Sandra Wilson. I really like Key Lime Pie and until this recipe have never found one that satisfied me.

These are great anytime, but especially good in the fall or during holiday season. I like to serve with maple syrup, but feel free to use your favorite topping! Cooking time depends on the size of your griddle or frying pan!

I can't remember which magazine I found this recipe in (I was sitting in a waiting room and scribbled it down on scratch paper). I know that I've made some changes from the original recipe, (by making them "suiza" style and playing around with the ingredients). I have since lost my notes (it's been quite a few years). I make this by memory only, so tweak this as you see fit. I have used Cheddar cheese (my favorite), Mexican cheese blend or Monterey Jack to make this, so you choose your favorite. I hope you enjoy this recipe. ***You may like to try Recipe #513631 to make this dish***

This is an awesome creme brulee. I'm asked for the recipe each time I serve it. It is great for company because you fix it the day before. ZWT South region (French burnt cream).

If it is not summer and we're not grilling, this is my favorite way to make chicken in the house. I love deep-fried chicken, but I dislike making it. This is the next best way to enjoy the taste without the mess and guilt. I hope you enjoy it. *Note: Prep time includes refrigeration time.

    Recipe #510904

Asparagus is probably my favorite veggie and here is a quick and tasty way to prepare it!

    Recipe #427395

This recipe is the most flavorful home made fried chicken I have ever had. Also great picnic food.

This recipe comes courtesy of the domestic goddess herself Nigella Lawson. A beautifully flavoured flat omelet that can be eaten any time of day as a snack or light meal. We especially like it in crusty rolls/French stick as a hot sandwich, but would be great rolled up in a chapatti or just eaten flat on a plate.

    Recipe #350836

My Dad made this for breakfast on the weekend, it was very good, can be had any time of the day

    Recipe #183389
