This one came from the side of one of those Lipton oriental side dishes. This is the best teriyaki-style chicken I've ever tasted. It's somewhat similar to other glazed teriyaki chicken recipes and marinades on here, give or take honey, sugar, chicken broth, or amounts of spices. This has just the right mix of flavor for me. This could probably be grilled, broiled, or used for a marinade also. My kids love this.
Chicken breasts coated in spices are grilled until tender, then served with salsa. Serve with rice, refried beans, and grilled corn on the cob.
You can easily double the ingredients for a crowd at your next Bbq.
quick weeknight dinners work for me!
3/25/08- this was made for freezer tag in the OAMC forum and they asked me to post the following,
"To freeze: Prepare recipe as directed through step 3. Place chicken in a freezer bag and seal. Pushing out as much air as possible. Allow sauce to cool and place in its own freezer bag. Place both bags inside one large bag, seal, label and freeze.
To serve: Thaw in fridge. Cook as directed in recipe.
The cooked chicken can be frozen as well. Just allow to cool, then place in a freezer bag."
This is great and a real kid pleaser. The creole mustard sauce sets off the sweetness of the chicken just right. DH saw a demonstration of the recipe on an early morning show and searched the recipe out for me.
Chicken breast with rosemary, garlic, then mixed with saltine crackers, topped with lemon mayonnaise give these a luscious aroma and tangy flavor! Adapted from Southern Living magazine. These patties may be shaped ahead, wrapped in plastic wrap, and stored in zip top freezer bags in the freezer for up to three months. You may also mix dark chicken meat in with the breast.
This is my family's favourite butter chicken recipe - it came about after my youngest son stayed at a friends house and they bought Indian take-away. Youngest says this is just like the one he had at his friend's. This is one of favourite dishes.
Although quite often thought to be an Indian dish this recipe was actually developed in the UK.
Adapted from "Cook Now, Eat Later" by M. Berry. To serve immediately, brown chicken in oil or butter, if desired, before placing in shallow dish, layer remaining ingredients and bake for 20 minutes until tender; sprinkle with basil and serve immediately. Serve with your favourite pasta.
Another Once a month meal that's sure to please. My little girl likes these because they pick up easily in her hands! *I revised this recipe based on several folks pointing out that I had made a mistake on the amount of cream cheese. Thank you so much for the input!
