Delicious soup to use leftover broccoli or cauliflower. I have used both - alone and together. It's easy and 0 point if you are following the Weight Watchers plan!

Recipe #190835

Has a mellow garlic flavored herb sauce for the chicken. Goes great with either mashed potatoes or rice.

This recipe is from chef Nora Pouillon, owner of Nora's in Washington, DC, a "certified" organic restaurant and a quite wonderful place to dine. Vegetable stock may be substituted for the chicken broth.

Ripped off a Martha Stewart bulletin board. This is a VERY elegant soup that is so tasty and not difficult to prepare.

What I love about this dish is how versatile it is. It goes well with a fancy main dish or it can be served up with some grilled chicken drumsticks. it also comes from Bon Appetit magazine. I hope you enjoy it.

A really spicy and delicious Middle Eastern/African chicken dish. I marinated this chicken overnight and removed it from the marinade a few hours before cooking to dry the skin so it would turn out crisp. Preparation time does not include marination or "chicken drying" time. It's great with a fruited rice.

Courtesy Barefoot Contessa Family Style and are they yummy. Update: August 4/2008 . . .add some heat of some kind. I think that crushed red pepper flakes will add a great zing! or as per Bergy - "2 cloves of garlic crushed &/or 3/4 tsp chilli flakes".

I came up with this recipe so that I could make carrots with roast. I cook my roast in the crock pot, but don't like to cook my veggies with it, as they soak up all of the juice and end up with a terrible flavor. So I kind of came up with my own recipe, and it works great. Now I use this recipe any time I want to have carrots as a side dish with dinner. It goes well with lots of meat dishes, and it's easy to make. If you don't want to mess with peeling and chopping carrots, use baby carrots. I use the same recipe with potatoes, but they don't need to cook as long. If you are making this with roast or any other meat that has made its own broth, you can use that instead of beef broth from the can. I always eyeball this recipe so the measurements are approximations.

WARNING: These are SPICY! But, the flavor is fantastic. If you are looking for something different....this is it! Garnish these as you would any other burger...lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard or ketchup. We used a spicy chipotle pepper cheese as well - these were fantastic. The chipotle peppers and the cumin give these a really smoky flavor.

Inspired by jerk chicken for my family and we just love it! Use the seeds in the peppers if you like the heat. Hope you enjoy it!

Bon Appétit July 2000 by Bobby Flay (which is weird, b/c I don't usually like his recipes) Note marination time.

This soup is simple yet surprisingly complex in flavor. The roasted garlic adds depth and the cumin gives it a surprising tingle. Plus the ingredients are pocketbook friendly!
