Every time I make this soup, people rave about it. It couldn't be any easier, and tastes like you've slaved over the stove all day! Delicious, high protein, high fiber, low fat, low calorie! This recipe is a constant in our menu rotation. It's also what I call "Pantry Food" because everything required is stuff we always keep on hand. Perfect for a sudden cold snap that has you craving hot soup!

Entered for safe-keeping, from Clean Eating, Fall 2008. Should be a great spread, maybe even a dip, for raw vegetables or whole wheat crackers. Can't wait to try this.

    Recipe #322784

This is an adaptation of a recipe originally published in "I Like Food, Food Tastes Good: In the Kitchen with Your Favorite Bands". It's a delicious curried lentil and cauliflower soup that's filling and incredibly nutritious, and it keeps beautifully for days! You can even make it ahead and freeze it. WARNING: IF YOU FOLLOW THIS RECIPE TO THE LETTER, IT IS EXTREMELY SPICY! PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY!

    Recipe #264839

I got this recipe from a vegan meatloaf generator found here. http://www.veganlunchbox.com/loaf_studio.html All you do is check the boxes of what ingredients you would like and it makes a recipe for you! This is my first attempt and it was outstanding! It didn't hold together as well as I had hoped, but the flavor was unbelievable. I added a couple little extras of things I had in my kitchen, so here is the recipe with my extras.

    Recipe #254279

This recipe is kind of a mix of ideas I got from several recipes and I love it! I made it for my family for Thanksgiving and they ate the entire dish. This is by far one of the simplest recipes you can find. And it's cheap and easy to make! Definately let this sit for a while after you take it out of the oven. It won't look done, but once it sits and cools, the sauce will thicken up, and it stays hot for a really long time.

This is nice to come home to any time of the year.

    Recipe #238171

Low fat and delicious. Rotel makes everything better! Based on a recipe from Seasoned with the Sun.

    Recipe #231112

This is a fantstic dish and one of my personal favorites. It's even better when you let the flavors soak overnight and reheat it the next day.

    Recipe #225490

This is my *go to* icing recipe. Whether vegan or not, use this creamy icing for all sorts of baked goodies. Muffins, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls or bread, banana bread, carrot cake, or just plain cake.

    Recipe #219454

Red Thai curry paste is pretty hot so I start with a small amount and add more if needed. Serve this curry over rice to soak up the sauce.

    Recipe #213634

Got this from vegweb.com. This is a great vegan alternative for frosting used for German Chocolate Cake! This got amazing reviews on vegweb.com! (This is enough for one 2-layer cake).

This is my Dad's recipe!!! Brilliant low fat & EASY roasted potato wedges with freshly ground black pepper and olive oil. I have also added garlic, lemon wedges, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, cumin, chilli.......the list is endless! I have posted the basic recipe and it is obviously easy to add whatever you like, depending on the mood, season & type of meal you are serving. For example, rosemary is great with lamb dishes; thyme and oregano marries wonderfully with Italian & French cuisine; garlic and lemons are GREAT with roast chicken. The basic peppered recipe is still my favourite though - I use fleur de sel (local sea salt) in mine - but any coarse salt will be fine. I have given measurements for about 4 people......it is easily adapted up or down however!

    Recipe #193370

From Vegetarian Gourmet way back in the 90s. Holiday issue. Recommended with Black Bean Stuffed Peppers.

    Recipe #192628

Traditional chapatis are made every day in India and contain only two ingredients, the flour and the water. This makes them very simple to make and very healthy too.

    Recipe #185458

A spicy pea puree, goes very well with hot Injeera. Cooking time does not include soaking time for the peas.

You will love these little falafel balls that are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside...without frying in oil! Serve in a pita with your favorite cucumber sauce.

    Recipe #179945

This is one of my favorite Moosewood recipes, and it is so easy! My toddler even loves this recipe. This cold salad is perfect during the hot summer months, and goes great with meals that are cooked on the grill. I find that adding 1 T red wine vinegar makes it absolutely perfect. Moosewood categorizes this recipe as a "Main dish salad" but I prefer it as a side dish. I always omit the celery because it is the one vegetable that I do not like.

    Recipe #177902

QETH .... a quick, easy, tasty and healthy middle eastern dish. NOTE: I agree with reviewers that this salad needs to be kicked-up-a notch, so I've made some revisions as of 7/1/09.

    Recipe #172752

This is what I like to do year round. It is so easy to do, and it only requires a few main ingredients. Edited Note: After much consideration, I have decided to change the measurements. I know this would be the second time, but I feel that the new measurements best reflects my the recipe. Again, if you would like to increase or decrease anything, it is up to you, and I welcome all of your suggestions.
