    Recipe #170649

Very good all-purpose teryaki marinade for chicken or beef, but I've also used it with pork.

This sounds very interesting indeed. I have no idea how long it would take to grind rice and I wonder if rice flour wouldn't work?. I'm guessing at the time required. Posted for Zaar World TourIII. *Update Aug 31 '09: those who know say that rice flour will not work here. You'll need ground rice to make this recipe come out right. I have also lowered the sugar content. Thanks you ladies for the insight :D

    Recipe #228342

This came from a newspaper, and although I prefer beef ribs to pork, this is a very tasty somewhat spicy rib recipe (if you choose it to be). I hope you enjoy. The soy sauce and ketchup have enough salt, so you may or may not want to add any salt, depending on your tastes. Great served with bisquits, spicy baked red beans and Iced Tea or cold beer! Enjoy.

This traditional South African Melktert or Milk Tart is a variation of an egg custard pie which originated with the Dutch settlers who came South Africa in the 17th Century. Melktert was then adapted and made a purely South African creation by the Cape Malays. Apparently wives reputations hang on their Melkterts and recipes are family heirlooms. So, for something exotic and a bit different, give this a try.

    Recipe #173067

Empress chicken was my favorite thing to order at the local chinese restaurant. They switched over to "fast food" chinese, and this dish got lost in the translation! I found this recipe online, and it's very close to my beloved dish! Great over rice. NOTE: The amount of cornstarch has been adjusted based upon reviewers' comments.

    Recipe #126128

The easy way to cook your St. Patrick's Day dinner.

    Recipe #21111

Iceberg lettuce holds up well and doesn't wilt or get soggy, even after being tossed with the dressing.

    Recipe #150146

This salad is traditionally served with any type of grilled meats. An excellent accompaniment to the main dish at your next barbecue. From Food and Drink Magazine. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #167760

This is from the Moosewood cookbook. I made this with red snapper and didn’t alter the recipe at all. It is really easy to make and very yummy! Caribbean flavors. Serve with a black bean salad and rice pilaf. Eat it the day it is made.

This is an adaptation of a traditional Chinese recipe suitable for cooking on a barbecue. You will need a barbecue with a hood for best results, or you can do the boring thing and cook in an oven. It has a really nice sauce that goes well over plain rice.

    Recipe #169884

Created it myself utilizing my microwave, and avoiding browning the meat in a greasy frying pan..,

    Recipe #158483

These are easy to make and are the richest and fluffiest I have had!

    Recipe #30965

A delicious high fibre dessert which can be whipped up quickly and easily to satisfy a summer sweet craving. I "snafu'ed" this recipe from the Summer 2002 issue of Homemaker's Digest (www.homemakers.com)I fell in love with the picture, prepared it for a dinner party and boy oh boy, is it ever a refreshing dessert. Per Serving: 292 cal, 16g fat, 38g carb, 3g protein, 5g fibre, 27mg sodium. Excellent source vitamin C. Good source vitamin A. Fast and easy (30 minutes or less prep and cooking time). Diabetics be aware of the naturally occurring sugars in the fruit - so take a less than normal serving size.

A very simple and easy way to make Burger King Onion Rings at home. It does take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Vegetable shortening is best, but you may use vegetable oil if desired. Cooking times and servings are a guess. From TopSecretRecipes.com
