No bake cheesecakes are called "rare cheese cake" in Japan. Rare cheesecakes are chilled and served with fresh fruits or fruit sauces. It's easy to make this dessert at home. Plan ahead -- Cheesecake requires 3 hours refrigeration time.
I love these bars! I've been making them for years. The recipe is from my former piano teacher - and my second Mom! She taught me how to bake, and make food taste delicious!!!!
** Pan size is a jelly roll/cookie sheet
I found this recipe in Mom's "shoe box recipe box" It is a hand written recipe and I have no idea where it came from. I haven't tried this yet, but plan to. Update: I have now made this and agree that 2 cups of cranberries are definitely needed!
In anticipation of the beautiful garden tomatoes I'm looking forward to, I want to post this recipe! I found this on myrecipes.com and adapted it to fit our tastes. Yummy!
Please note the Basil Aioli makes 1 cup. And cooking time for Aioli is 30 minutes, not included in cook time for sandwich.
We love this casserole. I make 2. One to freeze and one to eat right away! This will become your kids favorite meal hands down! Pepperoni Pizza and Spaghetti in one dish? What could be better!!!
Note: To avoid the "greasy" pizza look use turkey pepperoni.
Every year I plant Japanese eggplant in my garden... my favorite way to eat it is simply grilled, then sliced with soy sauce and ground roasted sesame seeds. I was overwhelmed with eggplant last season, and had to "branch" out to other methods. This is a recipe my Japanese mom taught me. Make subsitutions at your own risk! :) I can only tell you this is great as written!!!
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I often make oatmeal during the week - always with honey. This recipe blends 2 of my favorite ingredients to make one of my favorite breakfast treats -- waffles! Yummy! I generally serve this with a side of cinnamon applesauce.
***Please note -- probably not the best "in a hurry" waffle, should do this when you have plenty of time!
I really enjoy the flavor combination of blue cheese and pears. This recipe combines these flavors into a wonderful meal. Serve with a fresh garden salad. Enjoy!
Update - I'm going to be testing this recipe a little more.
Ok, I know, sweet potatoes in a cupcake? If you like pumpkin you will like this too! I'm on the hunt for "all things healthy" these days, and this fits right into my menu! I hope you'll enjoy these as much as we do!
Cooking time does not include cooling time!
