This is my favorite recipe for potato soup. It's a copycat of the one they use to serve at the St. Louis Bread Company (Panera). The recipe originally called for shredding your potatoes, but I never could get them to cook that way. I know they should cook faster, but I never could get it to work.
I pared this recipe down from another one on here to suit a faster preparation. This is still wonderful!!! And of course, even better the next day! Any small shape pasta will work - I like the small shells.
This is a copycat recipe for Schilling Salad Supreme. Use the entire recipe if making Mysterygirl's Linguini Salad in place of the 1/2 a jar that is called for in the recipe. It would be good mixed with italian dressing on vegetables too.
I found this recipe about five years ago on topsecretrecipes.com, but had forgotten about it until I tried mariposa13's recipe #123291. With one can of fat free sweetened condensed milk, you could make both recipes and have lots of healthy treats! You'll never miss the fat!
I love White Castle. I admit it, but I'd have to drive two hours to get to the nearest White Castle, so, I found this recipe in the Top Secret Recipes book. It is very well worth the effort if you love White Castles. Nothing compares to this taste.
