I love one dish meals. This is just another example of that fact.

Recipe #128046

My interpretation of Lemon Blueberry Streusel Cake ( # 95261) which was a variation of Raspberry Rhapsody Chocolate Streusel Cake ( #94465). The resulting texture is dense; somewhere between a pound cake and a muffin; defintely not a light airy cake. The crunchy streusel topping really makes the cake. We ate it for dessert and breakfast. The combinations of cake mix, pudding mix, yogurt flavor & fruit can be altered per your taste.

This cake recipe was given to me by a friend at work. It needs to be made a day ahead. It is so moist and wonderful. You will definately want to share this one with your friends.

Recipe #56157

A wonderful and healthful combination of beans, rice and vegetables. It's also very pretty, vegetarian, Caribbean and low-fat. It has a meaty texture and MILD curry flavor. My boyfriend, who is not fond of curry dishes, loved this. If you don't want any peppers left over, you could just add a whole red or orange pepper for color. Flageolet beans are a bit on the expensive side, so buy cannellini if you'd like to save money. Adding tofu, a meat substitute or cooked meat would make this a more substantial one-dish meal.

A non-traditional Aquavit recipe from Swedish chef Marcus Samuelsson of Aquavit in NYC and Minneapolis. Use a good quality potato vodka for this recipe. The Aquavit needs to stand for 6-8 weeks before it is ready.

While looking for an interesting recipe for blueberry muffins I stumbled across information regarding flax seed. I looked at a number of muffin recipes and combined several to come up with these. They are healthy, with no added oil, yet moist.

This is another recipe that my sister and I came up with for our home study group. The tartness of the dressing and the sweetness of the fruit make a wonderful combination. We found, for us anyway, that by adding a little Miracle Whip to the dressing we could cut down on the amount of sugar.

Recipe #164463

Easy, classically Mediterranean, this zucchini emerges from the broiler with a still somewhat firm texture, coated with a lemony glaze and flavored with sweet herbs. This is also good grilled over the coals in good weather. Try cutting this on the diagonal to make elongated oval slices, good for both broiling and grilling techniques. This recipe is from Moosewood Low Fat Favorites!

Recipe #47755

Veggies on a stick! Wonderful hot or cold! Adapted from Better Homes & Gardens magazine.

Finally, the recipe I was searching for when I "stumbled over" the other 2 I just posted. The website source for this recipe is joycesfinecooking.com/canadian_recipes. Altho not kid-friendly w/whisky in the marinade, it is a sml amt & it appears the marinade could be halved & used to fix adult & kid portions. This recipe caught my eye because I thot it would also work well w/lamb meat. Altho unusual to combine lamb w/oranges, it sounded good to me. Think about it ... lamb, oranges, whole mushrooms & onion (all marinated using this recipe & cooked on the grill). How could that ever be bad? NOT! (Time specified does not include time to marinate) NOTE: While the whisky is shown as an optional ingredient, the recipe author made quite a point to say she NEVER leaves it out.

Recipe #169344

Feel free to substitute any fruit or combination of fruit that you like for part of the cantaloupe.

Recipe #129925

I found this recipe online for Zaar World Tour. It recommends serving it with curries or bobotie.

Recipe #173577

Delicious and addictive! Serve with cheese or as an after-dinner nibble. Recipe from Lucy Waverman.

Recipe #169977

This looks so good and refreshing, for a sweeter taste use an Asti or other sweet sparkling wine. From czbrats.com, a Panamanian site.
