    Mom's note: excellent, not sweet

    Recipe #507045

Modified from a recipe on the Food Network, Ree Drummond.

    Recipe #509561

Mom's note: Good, less rich than apple strips

    Recipe #507044

Bar-sized apple pie. When I make this recipe, I sub greek yogurt for the sour cream and add more than stated - until it is a good texture to roll. Also, I roll between 2 sheets of waxed paper, peel the top piece, lay back down, flip over, peel the other sheet and flip onto pan.

    Recipe #497657

This was made with Healthy Expectations Black and Tan Whole Grain Medley, which is hull-less barley, black barley, daikon seed, and dehydrated vegetables. I made this on the stove top, but it might be better in the crockpot, on low 6-8 hours. I used the leftover meat I had, which was rabbit. If the meat is not already seasoned, some garlic and pepper might be needed. I think chicken might be too bland. I used 1/2 a raw sweet potato, chopped, in place of the vegetables.

    Recipe #511813

Adapted from Hershey's cookbook - "Perfectly Chocolate" Cake. Made these caramel filled for my birthday, but the caramel filling didn't come out right so I didn't include that part in my recipe. The cupcakes themselves are awesome.

    Recipe #505561

From the in-flight magazine on Southwest Airlines. I used Ghiradelli 60% chocolate chips, Nestle white chips, and nestle semi-sweet chips. The oil in the coating seems weird and is hard to mix in but the end result was right for coating. The white chips were a mistake, didn't firm up. Because the white is runny, these have to stay in the freezer. I also used raw almonds, chopped, and toasted in the pan I cooked the bacon in. Kind of weird but definitely man-candy. Everything is better with bacon!

    Recipe #470042

Got the recipe from a coworker, after the office Christmas party. Cooking time is chilling time.

    Recipe #511414

This recipe is from the back of a Chips Ahoy package. Need to use the basic store-bought crisp chocolate chip cookies to get the crust to come out right.

    Recipe #444719

Adapted from Hershey's cookbook. Oatmeal is healthy, right?

    Recipe #510491

Found and adapted from an internet posting - the posting said it was originally from Gaida's tv show.

    Recipe #498068

Gooey inside, crispy outside. Vegetable oil, not butter or shortening.

    Recipe #470542

Adapted from a blogger's recipe which was for plain yogurt panna cotta (leave the chocolate out, add 1/3 cup honey). You can use any sort of fluid milk from skim to cream - the more butterfat, the creamier, and the more calories. I used 2 %. Good with fruit and whipped cream.

    Recipe #509461

Mom always made these at Christmas.

    Recipe #507051

This was adapted from a recipe on the back of the Pillsbury Cinnabon rolls box.

    Recipe #395336

    Recipe #511716

Found on the internet and tweaked. If using as dough, roll out and use right after first rising.

    Recipe #498041

This was adapted from several recipes since I didn't have the right stuff to make any of them. I think any hard cheese would work well. 2 of my 3 picky kids liked it.
