Lightly breaded and a distinct lemon flavor, this is a tasty chicken recipe. My teenage son made it, and we were surprised how close it was to our favourite chinese restaraunt. He found it on another site, then changed some things to make it easier ....now we wouldn't make it any other way.
I got this recipe from a friend, who served it to me one chilly night. It is very much a "comfort food" for me and quite easy to make with leftover chicken. When you are adding the eggs, be careful to add them very slowly and make sure the soup is not too hot, otherwise your eggs will split. I find it helps to take the soup off the burner for a few minutes before adding the eggs. You should end up with a smooth cream-like base to your soup, not broken eggy bits like in egg drop soup.
This quick bread pizza is one of my favourites. It’s great for kids as they don’t have to wait for the crust to rise!
You can use a plain or spicy tomato sauce on this, but I love the taste and texture of fresh tomatoes.
I love this Crock-Pot chicken recipe for two reasons: one, my family loves it and two, it is so easy to make! I got this recipe from my sister. She has two children of her own, and they love it too! It's also the best leftovers in the world -- if there are any!
This is one of the best recipes I've come up with for beef roast. The cheapest cuts come out tasting like you slaved over a stove all day long. You can add potatoes and carrots to the recipe if you like, or shred it and serve it as a French Dip sandwich with the au jus juice from the crock pot on the side. If you are watching your sodium, use the lite soy sauce and it will taste just as delicious.
I love to order this when going to taco bell. I requested this the other day and was told they dont offer it anymore. I was feeling in the mood for a saucy savory mexican type meal and came up with my version of it and tasted just like the real thing. It's basically a layer of beans, spanish rice, chicken, enchilada sauce, cheese, sour cream and green onions ..and oh so good!
This is a classic Welsh recipe, often affectionately called a "Poor Man's Sausage" because of the lack of meat. If you cannot buy Caerphilly or Lancashire cheese you could substitute a strong Cheddar cheese. This would make a good meal for vegetarians. The recipe is slightly adapted from Jane Grigson's book English Food.
