I really enjoyed this! It was inspired by a recipe I saw on Food 911. Careful with the cayenne. (I personally like it a little spicy, but use your own judgment) I also usually only make half of this recipe. (I'm the only one in the house who will actually EAT tofu!)

This is so simple and so tasty. Leftovers (if there are any) make a great sandwich. Try mixing cumin and garlic for the spice.

This is the tofu recipe that opens everyone's closed minds about this much maligned ingredient. The texture of the tofu was described as "similar to chicken and fish but not." I came up with it after many (failed) attempts at creating the perfect meatlover's tofu dish. The key is in the freezing of the tofu, so make sure you plan ahead. Prep time does not include freezing time.

Don't tell them it's good for them, as well as low fat! Fast and yummy!

    Recipe #23997

This is a delicious colourful chili with a perfect blend of many vegetables with tofu in a thick spicy tomato base. This original recipe came from Runner's World magazine, although I have altered it to suit my likings. Frying tofu gives it a more meat like texture. For those who like chili very spicy, more chili powder may be added.

A wonderful vegan substitute for all the vegans out there.

    Recipe #754

This delicious vegetarian version of stroganoff comes from one of my favorite cookbooks: The Vegetarian Meat and Potatoes Cookbook. It was also suggested that cooked green beans can be added to this at the end with the tofu to add some additional color, flavor and texture. Hope you enjoy this dish as much as I do!

Adopted 8/17/06 Recipe by Bryanna Clark Grogan. Note: Do not use waterpacked tofu. Also do not use less than Silken firm.

    Recipe #71419

Adapted from a recipe from "Vegan Planet" by Robin Robertson. it's super tasty.

    Recipe #99680

This was our 2004 Thanksgiving dinner. A Moosewood recipe. The results were excellent. Per my cousin Amysauntjo: Husband said "It's a keeper." He took it to the non vegetarian diabetic in the family who hates tofu figuring she would refuse and he could keep it for when he visited. She loved it. He said she didn't even thank him because she was busy eating it. Per Us.. The wife and I both loved it. And she did the same thing to us when we shared it with her. I assumed she wouldn't eat it the wife said all she said was "OHH GOOD I like this." and dove right in.

Chimichurri is a potent, hot and garlicky South American sauce that is usually served with grilled meats. Try it here with grilled tofu for a fiesty vegetarian dish that is sure to please. Make extra sauce and store it in the fridge for up to a month in an airtight container. It is great marinade for chicken, pairs nicely with any grilled meat and works well as a topping for baked fish.

The hollandaise sauce makes this dish truly decadent. I often eat this atop a piece of toast.

Vegetarian sushi. It's heart healthy, fun to make and tasty too! For a little extra flavor, use marinated baked tofu instead of plain. Either way, have a little soy sauce on hand for dipping... or indulge with tasty plum sauce or hoisin sauce... it's up to you!
