This is a very krispie cookie, the brown sugar and coconut mixed with the oatmeal makes it a light and flavorful cookie. The dough rolls can be frozen for up to 2 months if stored in a ziplock freezer bag. Great for unexpected guests, as it only takes 10 minutes to slice and bake. This cookie recipe is the most requested at hubby's pool league games. Number of cookies depends on how thick you slice them.
Buttermilk dressing, macaroni, grapes, almonds and water chestnuts give chicken salad a new twist. Given to me by a dear friend, this is delish! This serves 20! Due to the chill times, prep and cook times do not include overnight chill. If you are unable to find Beau Monde(by Spice Islands) at your grocery store, it is available online. It's a great all around spice that I bought after tagging recipe #184001.
This dish originated at The Conservatory Restaurant, at the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, made by chef Cullingworth. I found this version at the Scrumptious Street Blog and am posting here for ZWT7-Africa.
Also known as Clafouti Aux Pommess. A classic French combination of apples, lemon and cinnamon in a buttery flour crust. A very delicate and unique desert, easy to make and an artistic presentation as well. Posted for ZWT5, France/Creole.
Refrigerated sugar cookie dough, makes the crust for this cream cheese tart. Any fresh berry can be used, such as blackberries or blueberries, frozen berries water out too much, so be sure and use fresh. A 12" pizza pan can substitute for the tart pan. This gem comes from MIdwestLiving May 09.
Rumor has it, this is Pierce Brosnan's favorite penne. It comes from one of Pierce's favorite restaurants, II Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi in California. It has become a Watson favorite with a few of our personal changes. The recipe calls for porcini mushrooms, since I can't find them here, I use fresh portobello mushrooms. This is so simple, but so.... good.
Made with cottage cheese and dill seed. This originates in Driftwood Christian Church in Southern Indiana from years back and made to work in a bread machine. Enjoy. This bread can also be made as a 1 1/2 pound loaf instead of dough.
The Swiss Chard and Artichokes combined with parmesan and mozzarella cheese makes for a unique and tasty pizza. You can use a store bough pizza dough (Trader Joes is good) or use this quick and easy pizza crust. Note: I have revised the recipe and added bacon and more cheese. Select chard with fresh green leaves; avoid those that are yellow or discolored, store unwashed leaves in plastic bags in the crisper in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
