Johnny Like Pasta

I think I was suppose to have been born Italian because I could eat pasta every night. Tomato sauce, marinara, white sauce, olive oil base it doesn't matter, I'll eat it all. Gone is my love affair with enriched flour pasta unfortunately. I am presently trying to feel my way through the whole wheat varieties, hoping that I will find one that I'm crazy about. I'll get back to you on that. Anyway, here is a collection of recipes that sound interesting. Salute!

Entered for safe-keeping. I am searching for a recipe closest to the creamless pasta primavera that used to lure me to a local restaurant (until the chef left). This version by Chef George Krumov seems very close. For non-vegetarians, make this a complete meal by adding (per person) 1 grilled chicken breast cut into 1-1/2-inch long strips or 1/4 pound cooked shelled shrimp (31-40 count/pound).

This sauce has 3 ingredients and will be ready in the time it takes to cook the pasta. I like Aloutte cream/boursin cheese with this.

A staple in an Italian household, this is thrown together easily from ingredients always on hand. Makes a simple pasta dinner along with a salad or a nice side dish. Just toss with one pound of cooked pasta (I like it with spaghetti).

Recipe #295835

A rustic and simple pasta dish that is light on calories and the budget but packed full of wonderful flavors. Quick and easy to prepare, this makes a complete meal with a warm slice of crusty bread and a chardonnay.
