This is a very simple, but tasty punch. It is also fairly inexpensive, which is great when a large quantity is needed. You can changed the flavor of drink mix used in order to obtain a desired color of punch. I recommend freezing rings of pineapple juice or the punch for use in chilling in the punchbowl.
If you worry about uncooked eggs in Egg Nog, as I do, you might like to try this recipe. I found the original recipe on the American Egg Board website and have made a few changes to suit our tastes. This is the best cooked Egg Nog I have ever tried and made this way, will be free from salmonella bacteria. This recipe can be doubled easily. Cooking time includes "chilling" time.
Edited to add: Always remember to use fresh eggs. This eggnog will keep 4 days under refrigeration.
These have become a Sunday morning favourite for us. Heavenly coffee to warm your tummy! The original recipe calls for ground cinnamon, but it also works very well if you put a couple whole cinnamon sticks or pieces of cinnamon bark in the cold milk. It will infuse the milk as it comes to a boil.
My friend will only drink Chocolate Martinis. Her favorite is from Tony Roma's. We called the bartender who shared her recipe. This is different from everyone else's. I make this up and store it in a small drink container in the fridge and whenever my friend comes over it is ready to go.
Move over traditional hot cocoa on a cold winters night; you will have a love affair with this concoction. I had this at a Starbucks earlier this year; after fooling around with ingredients, this is the clone. A wonderful drink to curl up with on a chilly night; great for a bonfire or a holiday gathering as well.
I've had this recipe for at least 8 years. It has always intriqued me but I never got around to trying it. Attended a meeting where we were supposed to share homemade gift ideas and decided to take this as one of mine. I'm so glad I did!! I loved it! It smells wonderful brewing and it made a lightly spiced coffee that was just so comforting. Make sure to use the blender to mix it to help keep it from clumping in the coffee pot and not letting the water run through properly.
Response to reviewer's question about using dried orange zest: I suspect it would make the coffee bitter. I have only used fresh & have never received any complaints about bitterness even from people who take theirs black.
Warm, Comforting, Spicy! Something I like to make around the Holidays! Festive! You can also simmer it in a pot on your stove. Your guest will say how wonderful your house smells! Hey and if you`re trying to sell your house put this on.It will make the home buyer very comfortable. The spices can be played with. If you don`t like cloves leave them out.
This is a comfort drink that gives your Home a Beautiful Aroma. Full of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger & cardamom. Like fruity Chai. I favor the Apple Schnapp or Buttershots if you opt for booze. You can always make it without the booze and let those that want it add it themselves. It would be fun to try the different kinds.
