I found this recipe in my Campbell's Cookbook. My kids are really picky...we joke that they have a two-color rule...they don't like anything with more than two colors in it. This does not violate the two-color rule...it's always a hit when I make it.
Red potatoes, carrots, peas, and sautéed chicken stewed in a sweet, tangy apple-cider sauce. Great with a tossed salad and whole grain bread. Stored in an airtight container this will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months, except the peas will loose their texture.
Delicious and hearty stew. Goes great with a caesar salad and fresh baked bread. If not eaten within several hours of being made the stew will darken to a muddy brown as the mushrooms, especially the portobellos, loose their juices. The color change really isn't very attractive, but if you don't mind it, the stew does reheat well. It will retain it's flavor after being stored for up to 6 months in an airtight container in the freezer.
If you love good, old-fashioned, down home chicken and dumplings, this is the real thing! Note that this dumpling recipe makes "a bunch of dumplin's" because around here, most folks want more dumplin's than chicken. (prep time includes cooling time for cooked chicken.)
Beautiful and delicious, this incredibly moist roasted Chicken puts Kenny Roger's Roasters, Boston Market, and other rotisserie style chickens to shame! Please don't let the word "overnight" mislead you; for actual hands-on preparation, this is a Quick-N-Easy way to impress Sunday dinner guests!
