    Yeast-free

For those on a candida diet. No bread, sugar, yeast, cheese, vinegar, soy sauce, alcohol. (some say no peanuts, fruit, yogurt, starchy veggies... those may be in here) I have included a few recipes with yogurt and soy sauce. I've heard that Bragg's liquid amino acids can be substituted for soy sauce. I have also included a few containing fruit which will be controversial for some. If there is cheese in the recipe, I omitted it.

GREAT CARB WATCHING RECIPE....So EASY to make...EASY to love...Keep leftovers in the fridge to snack on. The Cook's Bonus: Little prep time and little clean-up afterwards.

I just saw this being made on the Barefoot Contessa on FoodTV and think it will be something special. Why don't you try it with me?

    Recipe #81983

This recipe is divine but you really need to try it to be convinced! While there seems to be a few ingredients it really is NOT a lot of work.

    Recipe #436550

From Vegan with a Vengeance by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. I just received this gem of a cookbook for Christmas. We made this puree as a stuffing for lasagna last night and it was really good. Used whole wheat pasta, the puree, tomato sauce, spinach and mushrooms. Yum, yum, yum. Thought I'd share this recipe with you all. It takes the place of ricotta cheese in any type of pizza or pasta recipe. And it rocks! We left out the parsley because I forgot to buy it, and it was still a nice green color. Enjoy.

    Recipe #202473

From a fatfreevegan.com blog. Fresh, vegan pasta and veggie dish. (Serving size is just a guess...)

    Recipe #205524

Roasted garlicy asparagus, great as a side or appetizer.

    Recipe #165275

I got the original recipe for this on worldsoups.com but I changed around some of the amounts of the ingredients. There would have been scraps if I hadn't and I don't like wasting any bit of food. For the measurements, you can translate "2 lbs" of asparagus to "2 of those bundles you get at the grocery store." And for the cauliflower, just use the whole head, however much that gives you.

    ZWT7, Italy. From http://www.spain-recipes.com.

From The Allergy Self-Help Cookbook by Marjorie Hurt Jones, c. 2001. A light, velvety green soup made primarily from members of the Lily family.

    Recipe #358184

An asparagus and almond soup, made with only three main ingredients, which can be served chilled in the summer. Recipes really don't come much simpler than this, and with such recipes it is even more essential than usual to use only the freshest and best quality ingredients you can find. I have adapted this recipe from one I found on an English website, and I am posting it for the 2005 Zaar World Tour. For the stock, I'd recommend either JKC’s Recipe #124515 or my Recipe #135453.

    Recipe #139720

I found this recipe on a bunch of fresh Dole asparagus. We like lots of veggies, so I added in a zucchini and some cremini mushrooms. I also stirred in some fresh parsley and oregano before serving.

    Recipe #115942

From Weight Watchers "5 Ingredient 15 Minute" cookbook.

    Recipe #125833

This easy saute uses one pan and is ready in under 30 minutes but the result is wonderful. A real taste of spring with the asparagus and lemon. Adapted from Fine Cooking magazine.

This is a must do in order to use this unique grain.

    Recipe #16399

This is used to make burritos, tacos, or even a Mexican style pot roast. Although it makes a lot, it freezes well; and the broth makes a nice base for posole soup. Quantities are inexact but strict adherence to the recipe is not that crucial; I make this in restaurants and just "go by eye". Props to GaylaJ for shaming me into posting my first recipe here!

    Recipe #172900

A dairy free version of the creamy Indian dish. Serve over hot brown rice. Yum! (Prep time does not include marinating)

    Recipe #366562

A Madhur Jaffrey recipe. Try to have all ingredients on hand before you begin cooking.

    Recipe #385681

Got this recipe from my nutritionist. I use nearly twice as much Swiss Chard than the recipe calls for, but feel free to experiment, and use however much you want.

    Recipe #227775

My youngest sons most requested side dish when we eat curry. He loves the left-overs hot or cold too.

This is adapted from Jane Kinderlehrer's Banana Pecan Tartlets, found in her Smart Cookies book. The pecans are for garnish. I had forgotten the name and that part of the recipe. I guess I just think of them as Yum.
