    Tea Breads

I love tea breads. I love them buttered or spread with cream cheese. I love them with tea or salads or just anytime. I love to use them for gifts or just for myself. Try one or two from this list and see if you don't love tea breads, too!

For those of you who drink tea, not coffee. :)

    Recipe #129851

From the famous Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House in Lynchburg, Tennessee, home of the Jack Daniels Distillery. According to the cookbook it's excellent as is, or the sliced bread "may be spread lightly with cream cheese for finger sandwiches and served with a fruit-salad plate for a bride's luncheon."

Delicious on toasted tea breads or bagels. I developed it to liven up a bland tea bread I had made. Prep time does not include chilling time.

    Recipe #125004

These little finger sandwiches look great on a buffet or at tea time. They taste great and are so simple to make. You can use any kind of nut bread, but I prefer pumpkin or banana nut bread.

I toyed around with ingredients while making Zucchini Bread, until I came up with a recipe my entire family could enjoy. I hate Zucchini Bread! But I love this bread, and when I sell it in the farmer's market, people say its the best they've ever tasted! I like to make a fair amount of it, but because of the rounded-off ingredients, this is easy to halve.

A great recipe for pumpkin bread, this makes two large loaves that freeze very well. I have also made this recipe in mini loaf pans, adjust baking time to 25-35 minutes.

    Recipe #130401

Mom clipped this one and makes it periodically for Thanksgiving as a cake with cream cheese frosting. I like mine with a gentle dusting of powdered sugar. The clip is so old and yellowed I can’t figure out which president was a fan of this bread.

    Recipe #130435

This makes 2 delicious loaves--one to keep and one to give away to a good friend. I might be off a little bit on bake time, so please watch carefully.

    Recipe #130346

Another way to use up all that zucchini! Moist and tasty. It can be used as a breakfast bread since it isn't as sweet as some chocolate zucchini breads.

    Recipe #130459

My friend Marie made this. It is great. It has a nice topping. It is another thing to do with rhubarb.

    Recipe #129911

These are nice to wrap up and include in gift-trays of goodies at the holidays.

This is one of the best zucchini bread recipes I have found. Everyone on my family loves it, especially when our garden has fresh zucchini.

I like this toasted with butter or cream cheese. Yum! If you can't find melons in season, you can puree melon balls from your grocers freezer section. This freezes well. Prep and cook time is approximate.

I've never had pear bread before! From "Simply Delicious"- Herberger's Employee Family Recipes. Submitted by Charlotte Hren-Olson of Minneapolis, Minnesota (where my mom grew up!)

I place the grated squash in a strainer and allow the water to drain for at least 4hrs
