I love tea breads. I love them buttered or spread with cream cheese. I love them with tea or salads or just anytime. I love to use them for gifts or just for myself. Try one or two from this list and see if you don't love tea breads, too!
I've had some very blah banana breads, but this one is wonderful. My husband found this one to use one day when we had a bunch of bananas that weren't getting any younger. My co-workers loved it recently when I made it for a breakfast at work. This is from a cookbook called "America's Best Recipes". In the book, the recipe is called "Banana, Sour Cream and Walnut Loaf".
Bright flecks of apricot and cranberry peek through the crust of this hearty bread. Well wrapped, this bread will keep for a month or two in the freezer. A wrapped loaf atop a cutting board would make a thoughtful hostess gift. You can cut the amount of butter by 1/2 cup for a lower fat version; it will be a slightly drier yet still delicious bread.
Delicious and buttery this orange bread is wonderful with your morning coffee. Feel free to change pan sizes to your preference. I bake in 8x4 pans for about 1 hour -- checking after 50 minutes. I also always leave out the nuts since my DH cannot have them. This recipe is from Land O'Lakes.
All the flavors of Autumn combined into one scrumptious bread. This tastes great with coffee or tea! I make this using Egg Beaters and unsweetened applesauce in place of half the oil to make it healthier. Prep time includes cooling time.
I've made lots of zucchini bread with so so luck until a friend gave me a loaf of hers. It's absolutely the best you'll ever eat. Texture and taste; it has it all. As recipe states let cool completely before slicing. Grease loaf pans well well!!!
Yummy Island Kine bread. Can substitute papaya with other tropical fruits like mango or pineapple. *bake with aloha*. I love using nutriva extra virgin coconut oil instead of butter in everything... even biscuits! i also use all organics when can
This bread is delicious served at room temperature with cream cheese. Recipe makes two loaves and freezes well, so you can eat one and save one for later. Note: You can sub a 16 ounce bag of frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed, for the fresh strawberries.
Why compromise the banana flavor? My banana bread is moist and delicious with loads of banana flavor! Ultimate comfort food, and it's WONDERFUL TOASTED!! (Make sure to use bananas with a lot of black on them for the best flavor! The blacker the bananas, the stronger the banana flavor of the bread.)
