Another from the Rachel Ray show site - apparently one of OPRAH's favs!! Sounds great, doesn't it ladies??
***Just an update -this has been a hit the three times I have served it now with ladies and men a like! A festive, fun alternative for a holiday gathering - not too sweet unless you want it to be - it all depends on the champagne you choose! Looking forward to Christmas and New Years with this one!!(***ZWT3 - Kirsh and CHampagne - FRENCH)
This recipe is posted for the ZWT and is adapted from the book “Quick and Healthy “Recipes and Ideas”. This recipe differes from all those listed here in that it uses skim milk and non fat plain yogurt instead of milk, bringing the calories way down :)
ZWT REGION: USA.
A cold, refreshing drink for hot summer afternoons. Mint iced tea & orange juice, sweetened with honey. Great for both kids and adults, so it's nice to keep on hand for summer entertaining or just for the family. Prep time doesn't include the time it takes for the tea to get cold.
When autumn arrives, I especially love the taste of apples! While preparing Sunday brunch, I came up with this simple recipe (if you can call it a recipe) that delivers big flavor with little effort. I'm calling it Apple Flip but I hope you'll call it just plain inspired!!
I used Cooks Grand Reserve champagne - inexpensive, but great with this concoction!
The measurements are required, but just eyeball the half-and-half combo in your flute!!
From a Cranberry Cookbook put out by the Westport-Grayland Washington Chamber of Commerce. (The Cranberry Coast) The original recipe said it made two pitchers, but I change the yield to one pitcher after reading Rita's review.
Sugar-free lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage can be used in this recipe. For quick iced tea beverages, keep a batch of this slush on hand in the freezer throughout the summer months. Plan ahead, this needs to chill.
I came about these not just tasty but pretty cubes when I was making mojitos. I went overboard squeezing limes and had 1 1/2 cups of juice left over so I tossed in lime and mint and walla! If you skip the sugar it will be very tangy the way I enjoy it.
Do use these in lemonade, juice, punch, ice teas, cocktails of choice.........
