Why do I always think treats made with cereal are more healthful than other kinds? I'm a sucker for cereal treats; that's what I always brought to school for my students on special occasions. Of course, there are other no-bake treats here too. Hot summer weather is the perfect time to try these no-bake delights. Note that children can help make many of the recipes here!
Ohh, one of my favorite quick sweet recipes! When I was about 10, I was at a friend’s house and the mother made a few batches of these. When my ma picked me up, I had her taste one and she HAD to get the recipe. These are SOOOO good! They are quite addicting though hehe…you may need a few batches! 8)
This is my favourite square to make for Christmas trays. The layers look so nice, and the caramel colored icing adds some variation on a tray. The taste is also a hit, it is one square that is not too sweet.
This is a variation on a Company's Coming recipe.
Such a pretty square for your Christmas tray. Traditional cranberries in an unbaked square, topped with pretty pink icing, garnished with dried cranberries. This makes a large amount, but go ahead, put the extras on a pretty pink or red plate and give as a gift.
All you have to do is melt the butter and let the kid go to town making the buttons.
To explain, I have sort of defatted it for our use. However here is the Taste Of Home version. It all started when I wanted some fudge and I can't make fudge worth a hoot. I used Peanut Butter extract instead of the real thing. As good as my version is, I am betting this one is better. Not going to be the most glorious thing you ever made, but I bet the kid will be proud of it. Note I added a drop of vanilla to mine.
These are no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. They are my favorite thing in the world! You may have to experiment with the boiling time so that when you scoop out the mixture, they are liquidy, but harden after about 10 minutes.
I got this recipe from a family member who brought it to every gathering...with good reason...it's so good! I made it once and took it to work. It was gone within 2 hours. I had to start making it a double batch just so everyone could have some. It is so easy, and so quick. It's a great last minute dish to take.

You can whip these treats up in 5 minutes, and they make a great gift for the low-carber in your life. Vary the amount and kind of liquor to taste - if you cut down, just replace the rest with water, or sugar-free flavored syrup.
