    No-Bake Confections

Why do I always think treats made with cereal are more healthful than other kinds? I'm a sucker for cereal treats; that's what I always brought to school for my students on special occasions. Of course, there are other no-bake treats here too. Hot summer weather is the perfect time to try these no-bake delights. Note that children can help make many of the recipes here!

The man of the house loves Rice Crispie Treats, but he always complains that I don't make thick enough or enough of them. So I have increased the original recipe to an amount that actually lasts more than 1 day !!These are soft & chewy and will stay that way if you keep them tightly covered, like in Tupperware.

    Recipe #179640

    From a Quaker Oats newsletter.

    Recipe #161592

This recipe is from "Any Blonde Can Cook."

    Recipe #159380

When I saw this recipe, I really was amazed. Many "snickers" bars recipes do not call for the butterscotch chips and a few other ingredients. I thought this just sounded heavenly, and way better than the snickers. I have not made them yet though, so please let me know what you think if you do!

    Recipe #35280

Ohh, one of my favorite quick sweet recipes! When I was about 10, I was at a friend’s house and the mother made a few batches of these. When my ma picked me up, I had her taste one and she HAD to get the recipe. These are SOOOO good! They are quite addicting though hehe…you may need a few batches! 8)

    Recipe #185735

A delectable confection from the kitchen of June Oaks, wife of Brigham Young University president Dallin Oaks. This was surprisingly easy to make and an absolutely delicious addition to my goodie plates for Christmas.

Traditionally, I make a double-batch of bourbon balls every Thanksgiving weekend in preparation for gifting during the holiday season. The candies are great and everyone loves them, but I just can't stand the taste of bourbon, in any shape or form. A couple of years ago I raided the liquor cabinet and developed a sauced-up holiday candy that I can eat too! Now I annually produce double-batches of bourbon balls and amaretto bonbons.

These were a big hit for christmas. I don't recall how many they made I'm thinking 40. These are moist little morsels of nuts flavored with apple and buttershots liqueur. These are better as they sit in an air tight container.

Apricots are a delicious addition to any dessert tray, especially among fruitcake devotees. This recipe combines a tangy flavor with a sweet crunch.

Yummy! Makes a great addition to a cheese platter. Also fantastic to take on hikes or an addition to lunch.

    Recipe #76438

I got this recipe from my Aunt Anita. She is the most organized woman on earth. This is just one of the many treats she had around for all of us when we were young, and then she fed these same things to our kids. Still love to go to her house!!!!

    Recipe #72545

I was searching the family cookbook and saw this, I remember me and my brother making this for a bake sale and eating it before we got there so had to make more, lol. This is a double recipe for a swiss roll tray

    Recipe #182361

Christmas gifts from me are usually centered around something I know someone likes or will like. Of course, using whiskey/bourbon in anything is something that all Kentuckians know about. These little suckers can either be made with a smooth bourbon such as Maker's Mark or a kickin whiskey like Jim Beam. Either way, they are a must for our holiday cheer. And the more you eat, the more you want. The nine hours cook time is actually chill time and the yield depends on how much fondant you use for each ball.

    Recipe #133270

I make about 30 varieties of cookies and candies during the holidays and these are the most requested. They are fairly easy and delicious. I serve them on a tray in miniature muffin liners. I have tried many different buckeye recipes, but this one, given to me years ago, is the best one I have used. ADDED 12/17/06: Instead of chips and paraffin wax, this year I used chocolate bark coating and it worked really well. You will need about Five - 2 oz. blocks of bark.

I found this recipe on Pastrywiz.com and really enjoy making and eating it!!!
