I don't remember where I got this recipe; it might have been from the box of rock salt. Anyway, it's very rich and no raw eggs. Cook time listed is approximate freezing time, will vary with your machine.

This recipe is so easy, and so creamy. No eggs to cook before hand, and if you don't have an ice cream machine, it still works very well. You can add 2 cups of fruit sweetened with a couple tbsp of corn syrup, or a couple of cups of crushed cookies, or a cup of mini chocolate chips just before freezing.

This is a classic made from a custard base and is the BEST ice cream that you will ever eat!! Cooling time is not included.

    Recipe #75136

This is a light, refreshing ice cream and the only fat comes from the chocolate chips. Our whole family loves it! For a truly fat free treat, leave out the chips :) (Cook time is freezing time)

Oh, this is so good! Especially if you love chocolate ice cream and Butterfingers. :)

This is a very rich and chocolatey sorbet. It is best to use a mild flavor Dutch process powder, but you can use regular also. From Cuisine at Home.

I adore Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and I adore Skor bars. This marries two of my favorite foods into one uber-ice cream!

    Recipe #36415

This is a version of one of the recipes that came with my ice cream machine. It is important to use purchased raw cookie dough in this or homemade cookie dough that does not contain raw eggs. This makes about 1 quart batter and freezes to 1 1/2 quarts. (Prep time assumes your ice cream maker is ready to go once the batter has chilled). Cook time is approximately how long a typical electric ice cream maker takes to freeze the ice cream and does not include additional freezing time in the "real" freezer. NOTE: Recently, there have been issues with raw purchased cookie dough in the news, please be certain to use an egg free cookie dough in this recipe or purchased dough that specifically mentions safe for eating raw.

    Always welcome on hot days.

    Recipe #38523

This creamy, tangy frozen treat is a great way to cool off. Prep time about 10 minutes, plus 30 minutes to chill and about 2 1/2 hours to freeze.(though my freezer, freezes it hard enough to eat.) Stored airtight, the frozen will keep in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Adapted from Bon Appetit's RSVP section. This recipe supposedly originated from a restaurant in Orlando, Florida. If you can't find Frangelico liqueur, I imagine this would be equally tasty with a different nut flavored liqueur. There are a few recipes on Zaar for making homemade Frangelico that you might wish to try in this.

very intense coffee ice cream Source: "Fine Cooking"

    Recipe #35058

Rich, decadent combination of two great flavors. I have an electric ice cream maker with a removeable, freezeable chamber. This makes enough batter to make 1 1/2 quarts of ice cream. I originally got this recipe after writing to Chef Bob Bowersox at QVC, after I saw him demonstrate this recipe. He very kindly sent me the recipe and I very kindly bought the machine. :) Plan ahead - you need to have your freezer chamber ready to go and you will also need to pre-chill the batter in the fridge for at least 30 minutes prior to making ice cream. If you like your ice cream to be firm enough to scoop, then after freezing in the machine, you will need to put it in your regular freezer for a while to get harder. It is more of soft serve consistency when the machine completes its cycle. "Cook" time is about how long the machine takes to run its cycle.

Home made ice cream is adapted from recipe in the book that came with my machine. My machine requires 4 hour refrigeration time (not included in prep time) and 20 minute processing time which I included as cook time.

Delicious white chocolate ice cream is wonderful served alone or over Chocolate Swirl Pound Cake recipe#43121after a spicy Mexican meal. This ice cream needs 4 hour freezing time after processing to mellow flavors. Chilling and mellowing time (8 hours) is included in cook time. Prep time includes stove top cooking time. Here's another ice cream recipe; I added a couple of variations that you can try. Mango ice cream is popular in Hawaii; mango sorbet is also very tasty (unfortunately, I don't have a recipe for that one - hint, hint). The time does not include freezing time.

This is something I've been experimenting with lately, and it just keeps getting better and better. I think I finally have it down pat. Chocolate, cherries, almonds, what an amazing flavor combo. This is my new hit for the summer! Prep time includes freezing time.
