If you like Oreo Cookies you are going to love this! Making a cooked custard first makes this a quality, smooth and creamy ice cream. This recipe makes about 3 1/2 - 4 quarts of ice cream. I hope you will enjoy this!

Posted in reply to a message board request. This is the recipe I use for watermelon sorbet. I make it in my ice cream machine, but I'm sure you could freeze it in a shallow pan if you don't have a ice cream machine. This recipe works well for making sorbet from most (non citrus) fruits. Cook time = freezing time in my ice cream machine.

    Recipe #68435

I'm posting this in answer to a request. I haven't made it myself. It was on a site called The Ice Cream Parlor. An ice cream maker is necessary. Times do not include chilling or freezing, and are guesses.

Easy way to use watermelon. Provided is two sets of directions, one for using an ice cream maker and the second is using the freezer and food processer. Prep time is the (4 hour) time watermelon needs to be in refrig or freezer before processing. Cook time is processing time. Adapted from Bon Appetit (May, 1983).

I love mint ice cream and when I came across this recipe I just had to make it to see how good it was. The results was awesome. I rather make my own mint chocolate chip ice cream than buying it in the stores. We love this recipe.

A pretty way to punch things up between courses, or to serve for dessert.

    Recipe #82983

I got this recipe from Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream book. It is the reason I own an ice cream maker. Every year we go to Gaffney, SC and pick up a huge basket of peaches. This is the perfect way to use some of them. The cooking time listed includes time to let the peaches sit in the fridge.

    Recipe #94217

Wonderful when fresh peaches are in season!!! Churning and freezing time not included. From Confident Cooking.

    Recipe #98429

A sublime rich tasting creamy chocolate sorbet which is dairy free. I had it in a very expensive restaurant in Spain where it was served with a very intensively vanilla ice cream and it was to die for. In fact the whole meal was to die for - and we nearly did when the bill arrived!8
